Keeping number when changing from T-mobile to T-mobile
Hi there,
I am currently with T-mobile on a contract that expired yesterday. I've been looking around for sim only deals and found one on T-mobile through the Carphone Warehouse site that looked great and cheap.
I rang EE to upgrade and they couldn't offer a deal anywhere near as good. Eventually I got through to get my PAC code and was told that if I leave and take the T-mobile deal I wont be able to keep my number. I rang Carphone Warehouse and they didn't seem to think this was the case but as i'd like to keep my number i'm debating whether to go with someone else completely.
Does anyone know for definate?
Thanks

What EE told you was correct.
If you want to keep the number and the same provider, you options are:- upgrading via CPW;
- buying a new contract and porting the number in two steps via another network PAYG sim.
P.S. it's definite, NOT definate0 -
Forget upgrading via CPW. I looked at this and the 'upgrade' offers were substantially more expensive than the 'normal' deals. #edit# (for me at least).
Porting your number out of EE is the only way.0
