I'm not fussed whether its AI or not to be honest, I went to Turkey earlier this year AI and enjoyed it but there were so many restaurants around, I wouldn't have minded B&B and eating out every evening!

I'll have a look at all your suggestions, I need to make my mind up soon!!
    :p
  • You can go to Corfu for a week and then jump on the islandhopper (around £50 per person) and have a week in Kefalonia and fly back from there. We did this last year.

Can even get yourself some pretty cheap flights to go to the US.

If you decide on a muslim country, just be aware that the holy month of Ramadan for 2015 is 18 June to 17 July.

Doesn't normally affect dedicated tourist areas, but elsewhere you're best off respecting the no eating, no drinking, no smoking, between dawn and dusk.

£1000 is a fairly good budget and should allow you to travel further than Turkey or Egypt.

Have you looked into Mexico? Friends holidayed there last year and loved it. Mexico has some amazing 5* hotels.

A couple with a budget of £2,000 between them could have a fantastic time in Cuba as independent travellers.

If you didn't want to go too far away I'd recommend Madeira.
