I feel your pain, OP - we made our offer back at the end of May, and we still haven't reached exchange. I can't decide whether the vendors don't really want to sell, or they have just employed the most incompetent legal practice in the north.
The only thing stopping us from giving up is the lack of an alternative. If something else comes up at the right location/price, we'll seriously consider it.:heartpuls Mrs Marleyboy :heartpuls

Alternatively you could move to Scotland where you do get all these silly chains when buying and selling property.

Sorry to say but I used wine to get me through it. I know I would not have. However now that we have exchanged I can sleep easy I have nothing on my mine all the stress has gone away. Until the day I move that is!0
