  • I would go with the cover with your boiler company.

So will they fix it for just the £14.99 per month or will they still charge you additionally on top of that?

Go you getting over that halfway mark!

Yay to the short month but boo to the longest month ever January!

So I got it wrong... they wanted £50 per month for 6 months just for looking it and maybe fixing it.....

I went back to SSE and got the home care package which also covers draining, electricals etc. £19 per month. First boiler check is 10 December. My friend is coming round tomorrow night giving boiler first check over make sure ok for inspection. If it passes n it breaks down again will just be £60 for repairs excess.

    Fingers crossed :/

Got my nieces converse total £30 and their xmas complete.

Just need to get my sis (£9 dressing gown)
    My friends we boy
    My work colleagues son.

    Then I am finished. xx

Also started emergency house fund. £20 not much but will add while I can so I dont let myself get into this mess again xx

  • £20 is better than nothing.

I was thinking of adding £10 or £20 to my hoose fund this month just so I have officially started, we will see if I have any money left LOL

I really need to dig out all the gifts and sort them so that I can see who I need to still buy for, sure it is only my Granny and sweet treats people.

Just glad my december wage will not be on xmas gifts. Can put £40 in it and thats it at £60 and go from there. Once my mum and dad are paid off I will be much better off by £350 per month and can book a holiday for following year. Only four month payments and its cleared! xx

Please don't beat yourself up about this. We all have years when we can't give as much as we would like. When you have paid off your parents you could always buy him something just because he has been really good. Just think how proud that would make him!

You need to remind yourself you've bought a house this year monz, you've secured your son's future........that's the best gift you can give him xx

We've cut back on presents this year as well because we can't afford it but they've got everything they've asked for and I know they'll be pleased xx
