When can I sign up to a new Broadband deal?

Hi,
I've just called BT (My current provider) and my Broadband contract expires start of November and line rental a week later (no idea why they have different dates)
I have seen the EE deal on here and it is much better than what BT offered me, can I sign up now in advance or do I need to wait? If I have to wait then when should I switch as I dont want to end up paying for "month 13" which is when the price goes up since my initial offer
Cheers
Jonny

if you want to secure the EE deal and are happy to pay any early termination fee then go for it now.
Otherwise set things in motion in October.0 -
Hi, thanks for the advice, I called BT to see what this fee was and it was nearly £100 (for just six weeks!) probably due to the router and line installation I got free as part of the package as I can't see two months broadband costing that alone.... However once I said I was leaving BT gave me a huge price reduction starting from today so I decided to stay with them. Would advise anybody thinking about switching to do the same0

They do say in Ts&Cs that you will be charged for equipment if leaving inside the minimum term.Hi, thanks for the advice, I called BT to see what this fee was and it was nearly £100 (for just six weeks!) probably due to the router and line installation I got free as part of the package as I can't see two months broadband costing that alone....
