And the Nexus 4 and 5 are from LG. :D
  • Thanks for all you replies.
I have just received the tablet back from Samsung.
They say in their letter that the tablet is not working due to 'Severe physical damage internally'.
They also say that 'physical damage' is not covered by warranty.
There is no way that I, or anybody else, could have damaged the tablet internally.
I intend to persue this matter..........
I think my next step would be to contact Samsung & ask for a written explanation of the internal damage, what component was damaged & how it may have been damaged.
Then contact Expansys with this explanation & perhaps quote the SOGA ??

    Not possible........

You need to ask Samsung what the damage found is first .
    Will do
Then decide if you want to challenge the vendor and that's best with an independent engineers report .
Yes I do wish to challenge the vendor....if it was a washing machine you would certainly expect it to last more than six months !!
One presumes that Samsung have carried out the normal factory reset and other tests and actually identified the damage .
Looking at the screws on the returned unit with a magnifying glass I would say that the unit has been opened.

Again, you should have gone to Expansys, the retailer, first, if you want to use SOGA.
Try ignoring Samsung and telling Expansys you want to return, repair or replace under SOGA.
