As someone who works in Logistics for Sainsburys I can tell you they, nor anyone else who works for Sainsburys will look at it. It will simply be returned to the supplier through one of our RRU's (recycling Reclamation Unit) and they most likely will test, refurbish if they can and sell on or dispose of it.
Couple of times a week we send a trailer full of electrical returns out.
So yes, that is the end of it.
I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.
