  • Good morning,

TTFTM thank you for starting the thread and so sorry you are still feeling poorly, I hope it clears soon.

Really foggy here this morning but expected to clear later.

Lyn hope you are enjoying your time with the Zebra child and having lots of cuddles.

Well today DD1 is 46 so we will be visiting later. She was born in Kent (a maid of Kent) and we had floods when she was born which made travelling for Himself quite difficult. I can't believe where the time has gone because I was a mere slip of a girl at the time :)

Hester I do hope your poor daughter has her baby soon, I know you said she was used to it but it must be tiring for her.

    Hugs to all poorlies

    Have a good day everyone

  • Morning all :)

Ttftm: have you any spare pillows so you can sleep slightly sitting up? I find that helps a lot.
Tru: I do love hearing about your chooks!

Oven delivered so I'm very happy! Just have to wait in for DS2 book delivery, but I have a movie and knitting to keep me busy. Weighed myself last night......oh dear, I'm not at all happy with myself. The weight I spent 5 months losing in half back on

Going to set up new oven and make hm bread to go with pasta for tonight's dinner.

Have a good day all, hugs to those in need xx
  • Morning All,

TTFM Sorry you had a bad night. Let's ope you can catch up later.

All this talk of chickens, I would love them, but with my MS I have had the garden paved so there is no where for them.:(

DGD started school yesterday! Some of you will remember her being born! Frightening. She loved it though, didn't even say goodbye to Mum and Dad:rotfl:

DGS is nearly walking now. He's at that stage of crawling with his bum in the air, and walking round the furniture, but won't let go yet:rotfl:

I am succumbing to a new set of acrylic nails today. I had been having my own nails manicured, but they seem to have gone all soft and split easily, so as I like having nice nails I am giving in.:T

Spent the last week clearing up front and back gardens, with the help of my friend and my cousin. It's all done for the winter now.:T

OH has finally got on with doing the kitchen, only taken him three years, it may be finished by Xmas:rotfl:

My wet room will be done soon, the grant has been approved, just waiting for the builder to contact me now.

Have a good day, (((((((((((((HUGS))))))))) if you need them.
    I Believe in saving money!!!:T
A Bargain is only a bargain if you need it!

  • Misty morning, hoping the sun will come out and burn it off.

Fell off the frugal wagon yesterday, spent £30 in Aldi and then another £12 in Tesco. Bought a lump of pork loin for £8, split it into 2 raosting joimts, 2 steaks and the scrag end for a pork casserole.
  • Morning all,

Very foggy up here today but sounds like it's the same all over.

Hugs to the poorlies and those who need a little comfort.

Tru although I don't think you're unreasonable I would say to 'pick your battles', I had a lodger for a few weeks who had a habit of leaving the kettle wherever he set it down which was invariably not on the eletric base thingy. As a tea drinker I'd be left with the choice of not having tea or moving it. Decided it wasn't worth discussing it. I did however raise the washing going directly from the washer to the dryer and not opening the window/putting on the fan when showering!
TTFTM I second the suggestions of sleeping more upright to try and help. Sometimes when I have difficulty sleeping I'll take an antihistamine at tea time, by 7-8 I'm half unconcious and I sleep through the night.
Gers walking makes such a big difference to mood and weight. I haven't been able to keep weight off since I stopped being able to walk to work.

Had a bit of an Os fest last night, after the gym I popped past a$da and te$co to check out the YS offers, got a few bready type bits for the freezer. Then while tea was cooking I made a pasta dish that made two 'ready meals' for the freezer, also chopped up the onion and peppers for bagging and putting in the freezer too. DW was on, emptied and I decluttered x factor from my sky+ :)

Staying with the BF tonight so he's in charge of tea (well no doubt I'll end up cooking it, he's a bit carp inthe kitchen haha) and I'll get a few hours reading done while he watches football.

    Have a good day all

    Hi everyone,

Tru, no you're not unreasonable. DH once spilled something on the carpet and used the not so little) hand held vac to clear up. So far so good, except he left the vac with the flex trailing across the room on the floor next to where the mess had been. I decided to leave it to see how long it would take him to put it away. Four days later I cracked and asked him if he was ever going to put it away - I swear he had been stepping over the thing and not even noticing it!

Dumpling, hope you feel better soon.

I couldn't get to sleep again last night - 4 am, so frustrating. I have the dentist this afternoon, but just to put the permanent crown on so it shouldn't take long. I'm trying to just buy milk and veg this week to use up the meat in the freezer, some of it has been in there far too long.

I finished quilting a small quilt yesterday, just the binding to put on - my least favourite part of the process. I'm piecing a top which is going slowly because I have to be very careful to orient the fabric correctly and I have another baby quilt top ready to sandwich and quilt.

    Have a good day.

    have a great day all.

    Hi all:hello:

Sorry for lack of posts in the last few days.RL got in the way! One of my colleagues is in and out of hospital and another one decided to have a Monday "sickie". Strange that it is the only day he is ever sick! Left us under serious pressure and I was asleep as soon as I was home.

Am off for the next few days so hope I will get a few bits done.

Have a happy and safe OS day. Talk later
    NOT BUYING IT 2018!

Consumerism is.....buying things you don't need with money you don't have to impress people you don't know and probably wouldn't like even if you did know them.

    Afternoon All
TTFTM. I bought this for my GNeice it has all different patterns in it which can be used to make squares for a blanket. You would just need to adjust no. Of stitches/needles to make them all the same size if you used different grades of wool.

Also, if you have the lurgy fine, but i can cough if I have an acid problem, it affects the back of my throat, and Gaviscon stops me coughing ;)

Tru I would leave it, but DH is the tidy one and couldn't leave it.

Hilly I've stopped having mine gelled, as it does ruin my nails, after I had them done in April for DS's wedding, I have had to live with short nails while mine got back to normal, they have just come round. Plus with the creams and potions currently on my hands to try to sort them, then it would affect the gel.

Molly. Yes RL is OK. I hope you feel, better soon. Just trying to have a blitz in the back bedroom/office/dump. I am scanning things I want to keep but don't want the paper, plus socialising, kept being tempted out for lunch and shopping :o Running out of time before we go back to the sun for 2 months, need to fit a Caravanning break in next midweek-weekend too. Terrible isn't it:D:D I also started an Aran/fisherman'a jumper for DS for Xmas, I put it away for a few days while he was home as it is a surprise, and then lost my way on the pattern, but sorted again now

LW hope your kitchen is soon fished, I know you will, hate have men in.

HH don't make too good a job of coping with 1 or 2 down, else they will make it permanent. Same applies to less hours, they will probably expect you to do as much as ftime.

Skye is still being a star, she virtually talks, and understands most of what we say, ok too, a friend/neighbour who look after her if we have to go out, said the other day she was too bright for her own good, brighter than any dog they had had.

Right better get back to it.

((Hugs))' Spoons & Positive Vibes all round.
    take care eveyone.
