PLUSNET! Bumped bill up to £40 a month from £32 with no warning.

We joined Plusnet just over a year ago for our landline phone and internet, and it was £32 a month (for all landline calls, 100 mins mobile calls, and all 0845 calls.) And the internet was included in that.

Suddenly, last month, our bill was £40! No extra, additional calls or anything. So I looked into our bill online, and they have added an extra £8 a month on for the 'callplan.'

There was no warning of this, and now our bill has gone up by 20%.

I am a bit annoyed as I think this is quite a lot now.

Has this happened to anyone else?

    Was it a special offer that finished? A lot of providers offer an incentive to sign up and after the promtional period has ended the price reverts to the normal rate.

    I'm sorry to hear of the unexpected increase on your monthly bill. As mije1983 has stated - was this due to a discount for the first 12 months of your services being with Plusnet coming to an end?

    it's actually gone up 25%, so it's even worse.
