in Credit cards
I am trying to do a online purchase for the amount of £610 I first tried my Santander purchase card it got decline after that I tried my second card from Santander that was also declined.
The same thing occurred when trying to perform the transaction with a TSB credit card.
My question is are they declining it for security reasons due to the sum of money the transaction is for?
If so would it be best to contact santander?
Before anyone ask yes with all three cards i have the credit available.

Ring up your card provider and ask them why they declined it. If they cannot see a reason why then I would say you input the numbers or postcode incorrectly."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0

I checked all card holder address was correct etc and double checked card details.
After pressing comfirm it took me to the Mastercard secure part passed that then that's when I got the declined.
I will give santander a call soon.0 -
Do you have a "single transaction limit" - i.e. you have a credit limit overall of, say, £2000, but can only spend, say, up to £350 in one go? That might be it. Best to do as Foxy-S says and give the providers a call.0

Sounds like your details didn't tally when it came to MasterCard Secure for some reason and not anything to do with either card provider.
I did have a problem with it recently, it turned out that where the vendor's payment page asked for the name on the card I had put 'J Biggles', but the card actually had 'Mr J Biggles' on it. I changed that and it was fine.0 -
Does anyone know if I were to take out a Halifax Clarity (credit card) card for my trip to Oz could I pre-load it with a large sum to cover my spending whilst there rather than pay it off when I get back possibly incurring charges0

hi,
you may want to start your own thread rather than popping it on the end of this one, as it's not a related questionLIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0 -
Are you using the internet from the same country as the card is registered. i.e. You are abroad or using a company VPN to a foreign place?MFiT-T3 #149: {Q4/14} (£46,447)-->(£0) ~ +£46,447=100%

As said, start your own thread or maybe give Halifax a call directly."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -

Anyone here will be guessing (delivery address doesn't match card address, MC Secure password wrong, it's a Tuesday, transaction type (e.g. gambling) blocked, ...).loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.0
