How do I report an excessivley noisy vehicle? I've tried calling my local council office & VOSA and neither want to know.
The council says they have no powers.
VOSA told me they only deal with excessivley smoking vehicles.
Any thoughts

What do you mean by 'excessively noisy'?? How many dB is it?

How about the police?
If it's really excessively noisy then chances are the exhaust is illigal - if it's the stereo then possibly not of course
Are there any unsocial hours they are being noisy etc that you might be able to call the police out? Just remember - use the local station number and not 999

I don't tend to carry a noise level meter on me, but both the motorcycles involved are loud enough to scare the living daylights out of the (older) people I was with.
I am a regular at Santa Pod (drag strip) so I'm no stranger to VERY loud vehicles by any stretch of the imagination but these things are well over the topWomen priests. Great. Now there's priests of both sexes I don't listen to - Bill Hicks.0 -
can you call the environmental health or antisocial behaviour department at your council? if you do a web search for your local council and they may have some info there?0

Oh so you have the same problem. I can totally empathise with you. Seems it's a plague this new "motorcycle" thing. It's highly annoying when these idiots drive up and down the street constantly at ridiculous times of night.
I rekon you should contact the Police, or if you live in a housing association area/council house area, then maybe contact the relevant association. The town I live in has it's own anti-social behaviour unit, maybe yours has too. They are good to contact as it is classed as anti social behaviour.0 -
you will find that there are 20 cars with illegal exhausts compared to motorbikes, and not one of those cars get stopped, why? Well as the police officer told me when i was stopped... "There's to many of them now.!"

This supposedly democratic government thinks speed cameras can do all that, which is why traffic police numbers are decreasing - police officers don't issue massive numbers of fines for the chancellor you see... :rolleyes:you will find that there are 20 cars with illegal exhausts compared to motorbikes, and not one of those cars get stopped, why? I don't think any reference is being made to responsible motorbike riders.0
