Buy a run flat and keep the non run flat in the attic until you need to replace all 4.
+1 for taking it to the garage and asking them to supply and fit a tyre rather than supplying a tyre for them to fit.
Chalk this one down to experience."Dream World" by The B Sharps....describes a lot of the posts in the Loans and Mortgage sections !!!0 -
I would be happy to fit 2 runflats on the same axle.
But not one run flat and one normal
[I run my BMW which originally came with runflats with normal tyres on all corners].0 -
BTW how long are you planning on keeping your car and is it a PCP or lease?
Reason I ask is, if it is lease or PCP you may have to keep the run flats on for handing the car back.
Or if you are planning on selling soon, the odd tyres may put people off.0 -

I managed to buy a set of winter tyres for my wife's car at a bargain price as a result of a similar cöck-up. The seller had had a brain fart while ordering and specified 18" instead of 17.
4 would have been fine. The OP could have swapped all of the wheels to normal from runflat which is likely to be a better option.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0 -
Not everyone is unhappy with run-flats.
For me any drawbacks they are supposed to have are more than compensated for by the advantages.0
