I'd popped down to thr retail park to get some dog food. Mc D's is next door, so I bought a chicken fajita wrap for me and a mexican burger for hubby, as he'd kept saying he wanted to try them. He was over the moon when I got back with his surprise burger :D

I tend to have a readymade sandwich lunch at least once a week - usually from Pret, and it's usually because I'm doing a mystery shop, so I don't count it in my budget. Apart from that, I can't really remember the last time I had 'proper' fast food - I'm not too bothered by takeaways so I don't miss not being able to buy them; and while I do have a bag of chips in the freezer, I don't really like readymeals either, so I don't miss them.

I had a bag of wheat crunchies last night.

Lunch time today I was holding the (breast fed) baby and he burped. It smelled of wheat crunchy. I'm not eating them ever again!

 I'm just eating a packet of them!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I've been swanning around the country again with work - so I've had to eat out (but I can claim it back on expenses, so it's not all bad). I couldn't bring myself to eat in the hotel yesterday - breakfast was £17 for a worse than normal buffet, so I popped down to tesco's and bought a mutipack of innocent smoothies and a banana. Lunch was a meal deal from Boots, but the salad was wet and slimy and I had a chicken burger in MacDonalds for dinner (burger was grim, but the fries are great  and they are doing the fried cheese sticks again which I love).

I always end up craving cheese sandwiches when I'm away - last time my boss found it hiliarious why my lunch reciept consisted of two granary rolls, 400g of cheese and a litre of value orange juice (about £3.50 and one fifth of what I'm allowed to spend.)

Hot & sour soup and singapore chow mein from local chinese a couple of weeks ago, yummmmmmmmm :j I was very MSE though and had the leftover chow mein for lunch the next day :D

Bought some cup-a-soups this week for first time in months but not really enjoyed them at all, they're either too salty/ artificial tasting or too tasteless! Not had a ready meal for about a year.

Not had chips/ pizza/ kebab takeaway for ages and I used to have one pretty much every week, more reluctant to spend the money now though and it makes it even more of a treat to have just the occasional bit of stodge. I really fancy some now though.. and it's all your fault, all of you!! :rotfl:

We have a fabulous indian takeaway, and homemade replicas just aren't the same. We eat from there probably once every couple of weeks. We have a chinese takeway much less often.

In terms of fast food, it's about 7 years since I had anything from McDonalds or KFC (perhaps longer) and well over 12 months since I had a Burger King.

I do admit to a kebab this year, but what's so bad about chargrilled chicken, salad and a naan bread that I watched being made?

I have chippy chips about once a month to go with what ever i'v made.
Last time i went out for a meal it was a chinese buffet for my parents anniversary in march. about a month ago my mum bought me back a home made cheese , onion and potato pie from the hotel my mum and dad stay at when on hoilday, they bring some home every time they go as they 'r so lovely.and i had a few meatball subs from subway at the begining of the year they are yummy but addictive.somtimes i get things from the supermarket like pizzas if there'r yellow stickered but not very often . the last takeaway we had besides chips was an asda curry meal deal when they were on offer a while ago.

(2)Fish & Chips (£6.00) but feed all 3 of us with bread, butter and mushy peas
(3)Indian: Chicken Biriani, madras, mushroom rice, onion bajis, bombay pots, 2 poppadoms, salad, mint sauce and nan bread (£13.00 for 3 of us)

  • We have a monthly Chinese takeaway to celebrate the end of the month. I have to say the food is really great and good value to money. Also it's cooked fresh to order as well - can that be termed fast food!?!!

A night out is always my downfall - it's usually a quick trip to Mickey D's for a quarter pounder with cheese!:embarasse :embarasse
