You will soon get used to it to be honest.
There is only me and my oh in our house, neither of us work being pensioners, we went out and bought a new one, we kept running out of 'normal' day to day clothes and then realised that the last washer was a 5kg and the new one was a 7kg. We normally didn't turn it on till it had a full load.
Outcome, lots o new extra underwear and socks.....etc.make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -

Cheers,I had looked at that one with the 1400 rpm spin.
Looking at the wash times. 50 minutes seems to be a quick wash type programWASHING TIMES
60 degree wash time 225 minutes for 8 kg
40 degree wash time 190 minutes for 8 kg
30 degree wash time 80 minutes for 1 kg
20 degree wash time 175 minutes for 8 kg0 -

Bloody pensioners. Not only bragging about a new 7kg washing machine, but new pants and socks too!0 -
It sounds like you are putting it on a quick wash cycle, these have a lower maximum load. If you put too much in the spin won't be enough to dry it properly.
On my current machine I have a 7kg quick wash with a maximum spin speed of 1200 and takes 40mins. It also has a rapid wash for 2kg and 800 spin which takes just 15 mins. The few times I've accidentally left it on rapid wash but put a bigger load in they all come out dripping wet, but almost completely dry if the same cycle is used with the right amount in it.0 -

Gets pretty good reviews. One or two mention the clothes being a bit wet on the shorter programmes but it's probably just a case of getting used to it and finding out what works for you.The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.Bertrand Russell0 -
OP, I really think you need to have a sit down and have a proper read of the user instructions when you're in a calmer frame of mind.
Bottom line is no-one held a gun to your head and forced you to buy the machine. It may be true that you got the "hard sell" but that's what sales assistants are generally trained to do.0 -
You were overuled by your other half...it happens! I'm not 100% convinced your original choice would be any better. It's all 'energy efficiency' these days. Vacuums, hairdryers handryers etc. My current washing machine is cold fill only....despite us having hot water 24/7...so I pay to heat water when I already have a supply of hot water!0

Yea, OP makes out that he was outright refusing to even consider the washing machine and then goes on to say that his wife made the decision. Ultimately it is his wife's "fault" and not the person who sold the item. Go have a moan at your wife bro0 -
Knowing how Curry's work, they do not know the margin on a product when selling it, nor do they get commission - especially not for switching you to another product. The discounts they offer from ticket price are tightly controlled, and switching you would have only reduced their performance against a pound note sales target. Therefore, the only reason the sales person would have swapped you was that it truly was a better deal for you - or so they believed - or the other machine wasn't available but they didn't tell you that and switched you instead.
So if it makes you feel any better, the sales person will have had no incentive to con or deceive you, they were probably trying to do you a favour.0
