I'm hoping to get more done on my quilt, but it keeps getting put of in favour of jobs I ought to be doing, like housework!
Ido that sort of thing; I bought some lovely cross stitch to do, in a shop in Brugge, back in June, and haven't even started on it yet - "ought to do" tasks always seem to get in the way.

    Morning all,

Could not get on yesterday my laptop had a hissy fit on friday night and would not start OH managed to get it going but I have lost all of my photos, ones of my darling dad who we lost last year and hundreds of family ones and dd growing up, I was so upset we can hopefully get them back though, I am waiting for a call from someone.

Had a bad day all together friday, got home and ran a lovely hot bath, got in and put a bit more cold in, went to turn the cold tap off and the tap snapped off in my hand !! cold water pouring like a fountain, cue me screaming for OH who had to turn the water off at the mains then get some spanners to fix the tap, all the while I was standing there shivvering and dripping wet !
Oh no, how distressing about the photos.:( I have all ours backed up on a dedicated USB flash drive, then if the pc goes t*ts up, we haven't lost them all. I do hope you can get them back.
I did have to laugh at your bathtime antics - sorry, but it's one of those situations really where you have to laugh or you'd cry!:o

I didn't get online at all yesterday; I was feeling really rough and decided looking at a screen as going to make me worse. It was our 11th wedding anniversary yesterday, too; and Mr LW had booked us a meal at a restaurant, so I had to rest up and make sure I was at least halfway fit to go! It was a lovely meal; but I was very tired after.
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

Belated happy anniversary Mr and Mrs LW, glad that you were able to enjoy meal out.

Judi...wiishing your son all the best with his detox, rotten disease which can only be dealt with by the patient.

Have made a vat of veggie soup which is simmering away out on the hob, have also got a loaf proving to go with it for supper when DD4 gets back later, apple and blackberry pie with custard to follow.

Need to put clot hes which are on line in a basket and get OH or DGS to take in, cant carry much at present.

Hugs to all, stay safe and well

  • I have just received a message from my US frieind to say that her mother in law passed away at 4am this morning. I am so sad for them, she was such a lovely gentle person and deserved longer in this world, but it was not to be.

I wish we were closer to them at what, I know is going to be a very difficult time for the family.

Judi - best of wishes to your son. My dad is an alcoholic (been sober for about 6 years) It's a long tough road, but I can't even put into words how proud I am of him now. I hope it all works out for your son.
