  • I found few useful articles, thank you. i'm not sure if it is the same as Credit Policy Decline, which sounds scary. fingers crossed I won't have this with halifax, I earn 32k and have a squeaky green file
  • IMO Halifax and Lloyds have similar back office mechanisms so you might be better off trying a non Lloyds banking group bank.

Credit Policy Decline differs from Credit Bureau Data, Credit Bureau Data is placed when there is something on your external credit file, could be CCJs, IVAs, defaults, or lot of recent credit applications, if you are saying your internal score is 3, then its definitely Credit Bureau Data, because people with cps will have an internal score of 99 usually
  • so it looks like this credit bureau data think will stick around for a long time, and a new halifax account may have a similar mark on it as well

An internal score from 1-3 is regarded as excellent.

Exactly! that is why he/she doesn't have a cpd on the account. When a cpd is placed, the internal score is 99 or 98. Credit bureau data is a totally different matter, which is independent from the internal score.

If it bugs you that much, you could pay £10 for a SAR http://ico.org.uk/for_the_public/personal_information, and then decide what to do when you know what it is they hold about you.
