Flights to/from Israel can be cancelled within 14 days

Do you know there is a (well, not so new by now) law in Israel that protects consumers for 14 days after purchasing something?

For instance if you buy electronics and you don't want it (regret you bought it) so you can return it within 14 days of purchase (there are conditions of course but in general it's possible to get a full refund)...

Same applies to flights ... It even applies to connecting flights ... I've read online by google search that someone from Wales flew to South Africa with a connection in Israel, simply by flying LHR to TLV and TLV to S. Africa.

So just so you know and you probably don't know that! If you booked a flight and 14 days haven't passed yet nor your flight itself - you can technically cancel the flight, the law is by your side ... look at British Airways website and see it for yourself:

go to BA.com and try to book a flight to/from Israel, for instance one way ticket from TLV to LON ... at any date .. when you come to the "Price Quote" page it will say there in the box along with other terms:

• A ticket purchased by an individual in Israel in a "long-distance sales transaction" as defined in the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, may be cancelled by notice in writing, within fourteen days of the date of purchase and at least seven days (not being days of rest) before the date of departure. In such case, the cancellation fee shall be equal to 5% of the price of the ticket or NIS 100, whichever is the lower.

what section of that link are you referring to (not sure if you have put the correct link as this takes you to the rights for denied boardings and cancellations (by the airline not the passenger)

The BA announcement you link to says nothing about cancelling your ticket for free within 14 days of purchase.

Sorry guys ... go to BA.com and try to book a flight to/from Israel, for instance one way ticket from TLV to LON ... at any date .. when you come to the "Price Quote" page it will say there in the box along with other terms:

100 Shekels (NIS = New Israeli Shekel) is like 17 GBP, so it's not much to pay when you need to CANCEL an entire holiday. :D:D

But most of us are not in Israel?
