I have just spent far to long on the phone to Lloyds trying to request Contactless Credit Cards on my Business Banking Account.
I have spoken to three people who didn't understand what I was asking for until I explained it - each one then put me on hold for a good few minutes only to come back and say that Lloyds doesn't do Contactless cards of any shape or form.

I would be very interested to hear further from a Lloyds representative who can provide me with accurate information for Business customers regarding Contactless Credit Cards.

That's a total lie!! I received both my new debit cards for 2 accounts and new credit cards last month. They were all contactless. I think the person speaking with you on the phone just couldn't be bothered to carry on the conversation with you.

How can a bank this size employ people with this attitude towards customers? Their service had gone downhill in the past year or two...

You have business accounts then? I can see no mention of contactless anywhere on their business website, are you certain they offer contactless cards to business customers?

I personally don't mind it given they have a pretty generous compensation policy. I've gotten something like £160 in compensation payments over the last 2 years for relatively trivial things (goodwill payments and telephone roaming charges).

Maybe, in the world of business banking, it's absolutely true.

Thread hijack? As far as I can see the OP never mentioned anything at all about the card being a business credit card. So in terms of the OP it is indeed a lie!

Yes, I have a business account with Lloyds. The debit card is not contactless, I have to admit. What I meant in my post was for personal account and credit card.

But to say Lloyds doesn't do Contactless cards of any shape or form, I think it's a bit dismissive.

Sorry, if I've caused any confusion!!

Maybe, assuming they did say that. It's phrased a rather weirdly to be a direct quote. Maybe they said "we" not "Lloyds", which would be perfectly correct given they were talking to the banking division.
