Hello guys its around £1400 now, Laptops Direct is claiming they took the laptop apart and found food crumbs from a two day old laptop trouble is two fold in the Y510P the only way you can get at the keyboard and remove it is by breaking the warranty security seal and removing maintenance plate to access two screws to let the keyboard go which means they broke our warranty and not us.
Second the keyboard is one complete unit, Lenovo support claims its impossible for this to happen as its a sealed unit which means only one possible conclusion does it not?
Laptops Direct told us and the Loss adjusters crumbs were underneath actual keys Lenovo Support says the only way to observe this is by breaking it open and then it would have to be fully replaced in any account.
Retailer making it up as they go along as its not a technical fault but a design fault and they may not get a refund if that is the case (business to business contract terms) so they invent a story to cover their potential losses.
Could this be the case. if so how do we protect our rights, if we have any?
