Armtrac UPDATE: POPLA code

Hi all,
Last month I received a letter stating I had a parking ticket, and missed the opportunity to pay the lesser fee. That letter was the first I'd known of the alleged offence, so I was quite annoyed that they stated I had missed it. So I took advice from the forum and appealed, as I always pay for a ticket so thought it must be a mistake.
I used a template from the site, and received a letter from Armtrac stating they would consider my appeal and respond. I assumed that was that, but today I have received their response, including photographic evidence of signage, my car and a POPLA code. The signage is clear (I've never disputed that), but the photo of my car is taken from several angles, and it appears as though the shot from the front is taken at an angle that doesn't show all of the dashboard (where I display my parking tickets). You can make out the top corner of the ticket, but it's not clear. Also, they took a photo with a yellow parking fine ticket on the windscreen, tucked under the wiper, which I presume they then removed before I returned, so I would be unaware and unlikely to a)save my parking receipt ticket as proof, b)pay any early reduced fees. But obviously I can't prove this.
So my question is; is it worth appealing to POPLA, where the risk of a refused appeal will cost £110, or should I pay the £60 fee they are offering to make it go away? I'm keen to stand up to this shoddy practice, and somewhat fraudulent method of poor parking management. But at the same time I'm a student, and don't really have the extra £50 to gamble on a POPLA decision.....
Any suggestions?

For the previous thread search for 'armtrac sandy acres' if interested....0

PoPLA is not a gamble if you take advice here, the win rate is almost 100%.
But if you want a guaranteed solution you can make it go away by paying £16 to Parking Ticket Appeals instead of paying £60 to Mike "Binman" Cooke:

Well that certainly looks like the best option. Is it still okay to use that site even though I have already appealed? Though I haven't appealed to POPLA yet0

Yes. You've saved them the trouble of getting a PoPLA code. Don't delay though, that code has an expiry date.Je suis Charlie.0

Or you could just use some of those impoverished student brains and click through post 3 of the newbie thread, read a few POPLA appeals and the. Put together your own draft and post it on this or even better previous thread for checking. That way is free and we have a very high success rate with POPLA appeals. (100%)Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Click on words Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Newbie thread is the first post. Blue New Thread button is just above it to left.0

Takes as long as it takes - the BPA suggests 35 days but they don't enforce it. Kevin I hope you have been using the forum templates from the top sticky thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Yep
see my post here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5052472
The reason I asked is that the vehicle belongs to my employer and I would like the appeal to be processed and 'hooked' in my direction before my employers receive a NTK.0 -
OK so I have replied on your own thread, which is where you need to keep all queries.Yep
