Question about buying a mobile phone

Hi
Not sure if any of you can help, or if this is the right place to post this, but I want to buy my husband a new mobile phone but he'll want to keep his current number. At the moment he's on Orange PAYG with a Nokia phone. What is the cheapest way I can get him a new (Nokia)mobile, ensuring he can keep the same number? Thanks in advance

Not sure about the cheapest mobile, but whichever one you buy make sure it's either SIM Free (also known as unlocked) or that it's already on the Orange network (if unsure just ask the seller).
Then take the SIM out of your old phone, for the model you have you take off the battery cover, remove the battery and there's a latch there, the card just falls out, you insert this into your new phone (same procedure, open back, remove battery, remove existing card if there is one) and you're ready to go. There's no downtime, apart from the two minutes you'll take moving the card from one phone to another.
You don't need to contact Orange or anything as you'll be staying with the same company, same rates, etc.
Hope this helps.
Try https://www.pricerunner.co.uk look under phones > Mobile Phones > show all SIM Free phones and you should be able to find something.
