Morning (((((((((((((((((Hugs)))))))))))))))) if you need one.
Late this morning RL got in the way.
My US friends MIL is slowly sinking. They have taken out all her IV's etc and she is off the monitors. She does react to stimulation but only to open her eyes, no focus when she does. I am praying that its not going to be a long time. Her husband died 18 months ago, he was not a nice man and had her and DIL running round like headless chickens, it was a relief for both of them when he eventually died. She has not had an easy life since he died as the stress and strain caught up with her after a couple of months. She will be sadly missed when she does die,
OH out in the garden painting bits of wood for our Sq. Ft. garden, the sun has disappeared and gone behind a large black cloud so guess we are due some rain before too long.0 -

Hello all,
Have had quite a busy day so far. Took DD shopping, and a few bits for me. Came home did a load of coloureds washing and that's out, although I am not sure it will dry very well, it is very overcast here.
Have made 2 victoria sandwich cakes and will fill these with chocolate butter icing. One is for DGD to take home with her tomorrow and one for us.
We are taking her and boyfriend to see DD tomorrow. Tuesday is DDs 46th birthday and they want to see her but they don't have transport at the moment
I am so sorry so many people are poorly, I think there are some nasty tummy bugs around at the moment. As Jackie says, if possible, and I know it isn't always, go to bed, spoil yourself and rest. If it is sickness try to make sure you don't become dehydrated, and hopefully it might only be a 48 hour thingy.
On Sundy, after popping to Costco, off to have lunch with my younger sister and brother in law. They live about an hour away from us so looking forward to that. Isn't it nice to have a meal cooked for you occasionally?
Have a good weekend everyone and hope poorlies start to feel better soon.

Afternoon all. I hope all the poorlies get better soon. DD1 has come home from school feeling poorly as well. She's now wraped up in a duvet watching tv.
I've had a very physical day. Cleaning out the dogs took 2 hours. Manged to walk 4. Came home, threw some lo pasta into me and then straight out to walk/run with my 2. I've just had the biggest twinks hobnob and didn't feel one bit quilty : )
Stew has been in the slow cooker from this morning, it smells lovely. I'm going to get on with the house work now and try to get most of it done before dd2 comes home.
I've just realised it's Friday, no homework tonight yay!!LBM 04/10:j

csarina - so sorry to hear about your friend's mil - as Judi says, what a pity she didn't have longer to learn to enjoy her 'own personal freedom'.
for her and her family.
I don't know how come I've only just spotted the news about the Manchester Dog's Home ..................... even though quite a few of you mentioned it yesterday evening and this morning. I must have 'had my head somewhere else' to fail to hear about it.
It beggars belief to think that such a young person could deliberately cause so much pain and suffering to anybody, or anything - let alone trapped and helpless creatures.
What kind of experiences has he been exposed to, for him to think that this is acceptable? Absolutely disgusting.

Afternoon guys,
My oh My today is turning out to be a long day. I have spent the best part of it revising, I hope all this hard work is worth it!!
We're staying in tonight, beers, pizza (for OH) sausages for me, and a movie or two. We've got a free trial of NowTV movies for a month which is basically sky movies, so making the most of that.
Friday is also 'tidy friday' where we blitz the house for an hour or two so we have minimal housework left over the weekend.
Tomorrow we're off to see my dad for some lunch, and i really need to make some time to cook up so soups for lunches next week. Ideally I'd like to get through till atleast the last week of September with out doing another food shop, might need to get inventive though...
Hope everyone is okay, hugs to all who want and need them
xx
Oh and I am devastated about Manchester Dogs Home, I can't even put in to words how I feel about the lowlife that started the fire. It makes my heart break to think of anyone or anything being stuck in a fire with no chance of escape. SO so sad.0 -
Evening all,
Hugs to those feeling poorly!
Today started really well. Had a great day at work, came home and did a freezer check/meal plan-no need to spend for about 2 weeks :T Feeling a little penny pinch this month, changed pet blankets, emptied and cleaned the bins then did 2 loads of washing...and my washing machine decided to burst all over the kitchen and utility room :mad: Lovely Dad is coming round to look, fingers crossed i don't need a new one, don't need the expense.
Gonna pop out and get myself a bottle of wine in a moment.
Hope you have all had a better day lol xEmergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000

Oh well - so much for my idea that I might get out into the garden at some point today :rotfl:.
Took Dgd1 (age 16) to the hospital this morning for her blood test to be done. She's being tested for 'coeliac' - which is strange as my cousin has it. I really think that this is just a 'routine precaution by GP' as dgd1 just doesn't look as though she has this condition. That, plus the fact that she's not always ill after consuming something that contains flour.
Anyway, we'll see - I'm sure it'll 'all come out in the wash'. Her younger sister had 'cow's milk/lactose intolerance' when she was born - though she HAS grown out of this now. Dgd1 has always been a 'bit prone to occasional puking' - but it's never seemed to be anything that we could actually pinpoint. Her mother has taken her to see the GP on a few occasions, but none of those visits has resulted in tests before now.
We then met up with one of her friends who wanted to visit the local library to use a PC to make a CV. She had her dad's Library Card with her and thought she could just 'walk into the Library' and use it to access the IT Room - absolutely NO CHANCE! Luckily I had mine with me plus my IT access card and we were able to gain entry for me to do it for her. Teenage girls - what would you do with 'em!
Treated them to a McD's lunch with a couple of those 'bus ticket vouchers' that I'd saved in my purse, specially for an occasion like this. I also had a 'Free McD's Coffee Card' for myself ............ they were both mightily impressed :T. Unfortunately not quite impressed enough to have a quick sprint around McD's to check the cups left on tables to grab me a few more 'coffee bean stickers' for my new loyalty card ...................
Called at the local fruit/veg shop on the way home to see what bargains they had - got some cheap blueberries (for adding to cakes) / red onions (will be peeled/chopped for freezer) / mushrooms (for tonight's tea as I forgot to get the Savoury Mince out of the freezer) :j.
Off to feed OH as he's mooching around the kitchen !

Good evening chums, nice afternoon at History Club, we are researching the railways this term, so the start of it all with Stephenson and Brunel was on the agenda this afternoon.Very interesting it was as well.It totally changed the face of the Uk, and the lives of millions of people in the 19th century, even down to unifying the time throught the country.
Dinner tonight will be freezer roulette, probably bangers with new potato's, & cabbage.Yoghurt and diced up grapes mixed in for pudding.
Sun is still shining at the moment but you can feel the autumn nip in the air now in the evenings, plus the nights are slowly drawing in.
Hope the poories are feeling a wee bit better tonight.T.V and knitting is on the menu after dinner with my feet up for me
have a good evening everyone

Hello everyone
I seem to have had a busy day. Washing and Ironing. Changed my bed. Washed down the kitchen cupboards and their very grubby tops. Done a bit of gardening. Made a lemon drizzle cake and the famous custard cookies
My DD is coming down for the day tomorrow so she can try her Wedding dress on with all the accessories she has accumulated so far.
Nothing else planned. Happy Weekend all0
