Long Lasting Foundation?

I've got both the benefit oxygen and nars sheer glow and they nice foundations but not long lasting at all in my opinion. Anyway I went and bought colourstay as ppl have suggested. Its on 3 for 2 at the moment at boots and I got the lighest and darkest oily/combo and my shade in dry. The oily one is amazing, the coverage is out of this world without ever looking cakey. I way prefer it double wear light and the original and doesn't seem to break me out. However i've now got horrible scabby face from where i've tried to pop my spots from the dw light and am just going mad.
I've given up any sugar this past week and drank loads of water and just taken zinc and fish oil supplements. Nothing seems to work. The spots are white heads but really difficult to squeeze, I can't seem to leave them alone and am just making them worse. Ah I hope my skin clears up now am off biotin and the dw light.
I don't mind the colourstay dry either its pretty good but much lighter in coverage and not as long lasting but still better than most foundations for lasting power. Wouldn't purchase it again as I prefer the oily.
Also I don't find Double Wear original heavy in the thickness of foundation but it's very matte and also cakey looking on me. I have dry skin (even though i've got breakouts) and matte foundations just aren't great on me. I look best with a light dewy foundation. I love MAC Face & Body and also Chanel Vitalumier but they don't have great staying power for when am running about like a mad person at work.0 -
Ok now you're getting somewhere, its such an individual thing, I love colourstay but it wrecks my skin, if your happy with it that's fantastic, I would certainly recommend the MAC Pro full coverage if you fancy a change, it sounds perfect for you. With regard to the spots it doesn't work for every one but my saviour is always Freederm gel, its gross but when the spot is open put the gel on it in the night and it will have shrunk loads in the morning, I put the gel all over once or twice a week as a preventative and its amazing, failing the freederm try good old sudocreme, same thing in the night but its less drying the quinoderm etc and very good at taking out redness and shrinking, have a happy face day
