Vent about Expedia's hotel review process

Of course you could also have done something about it ... called the police to report it.0

I did actually ask the hotel if they could report it to the police due to not having a working phone with me (left my charger at home).
They obviously didn't though.0 -
TA and similar sites have plenty 'poor' reviews from rival hotels. sad really. twitter / FB may get more unbiased, up to date views..Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -

You don't know if they did or not.
However I cannot see a police officer coming out to someone smoking weed in a room. They usually have more pressing things to attend to.0 -

Due to the attitude of the staff on the night and afterwards, I'd be amazed if they did actually call the police.0 -

I would have complained about the fact you didn't have a phone in your room. That's shocking as every hotel should have one in case of emergencies.0 -

Really? I think the Maldron was the only hotel I've stayed in that actually had a phone in the room. Only seemed to connect to reception though?0 -
Every hotel I've ever stayed in (and there's been a fair few) has had a phone in the room. Very few have been internal-hotel-numbers-only ... the vast majority have allowed for external calls (albeit at a huge mark-up for hotel profit).0
