If you are being connected to a water meter, ensure you are there when they do it so they can do a water stop test. I was connected in 2012 and my bills increased from 5 cubic meters to 28 in two years. I queried it constantly, as I thought I had been connected to the cottage being renovated next door. Eventually, this week, they tested and found I was right. Their map had shown my house in the wrong position. The problem has been sorted and they have been brilliant, but only because I went to the top!
