Hi everyone,
jhmd666, good luck with the soup. TTfTM, I get annoyed with DH if he coughs and I used to get cross with the kids as well, I hate repetitive noises and I'm a horrible person!
DH went out for a posh meal with DD last night, she was reviewing Mark Hix's restaurant, the Tramshed. She was moaning last weekend about the number of lunches and dinners she has to go to but of course no-one has any sympathy for her.
I spoke to DS last night - he seems to regard me as the font of all medical knowledge - he hurt his leg playing football last week and is still in a lot of pain. I told him to go to the Dr but he didn't want to hear that, he said he would have it looked at if it still hurt on Saturday (if I used smilies I would be using the rolling eye one).
Today will be cleaning the house and packing to go to Yorkshire, oh and going to the hairdresser.
Have a good day.0 -
Morning all
I was woken up at 3.30am by a funny noise, like someone using a metal file. It stopped as I sat up but looked outside twice and couldn't see anything, but lay in bed listening for ages to hear if it started again.....
Need to order new oven today and will get ds1 to sort through what he is taking back to uni. He has so much stuff and half wasn't used. I hope he is happy in the accommodation. He lived in a shared house last year which was filthy and he kept getting eczema infections, so I laid down the law and said he had to move back into halls this year. The block is on the outskirts of the town though so I hope he won't feel too isolated from his old mates. On the plus side he might actually do some work, he is redoing his second year!
Have a good day all, hugs to those in need xx0 -
:hello:Morning all

Good morning everybody, I hope your all doing well.
Ttmf, have you ever thought of kicking dh out off bed, after all he's the offender :rotfl:. I used to be the offender ( loud breathing not snoring) and oh used to kick me out because he had to get up for work the next morning. I didn't mind, just went and slept with one of the dd's.
Very foggy here this morning. Left the washing out all night, so now it's wetter, it'll dry eventually when the sun comes out. Forgot to bring in dd2's school skirt, so now the heating is on to get one skirt dry, very un-os. What a waste of oil!
My legs are tired today, so may enter a little walk for dogs. I may be going to the animal sanctuary wil mum and granda today. Granda would like a little dog and there's the perfect one down there for him. I hope he hasn't changed his mind.
OH came home from work last night exhausted, he's starting at 5 these mornings. The only reason you should have to get up at 4 is if your going on Holliday!! He went to bed at 7, hopefully we'll have a little longer with him tonight.
I'm in the mood for baking today, maybe some twinks hobnobs, but those custard cookies look rather nice aswell.LBM 04/10:j

:hello: everybody and good morning. Feeling decidedly cooler here this morning - quite refreshing
.
Hope yesterday was a good one for you all - my day all went 'according to plan' which is quite unusual for me!
Best wishes for everybody celebrating today - for whatever reason.
for anybody not well, suffering or just feeling 'down-in-the-dumps' - hope you're soon feeling better
.
Plans for today:
Full-day shift in CS 9.00-5.00 - and that's all :j!!!
Evening meal will be Fishcakes with Oven Chips and Peas 'n' Sweetcorn - courtesy of OH .0 -
Good Morning everyone, much cooler here this morning, I went to feed the birds and put out the compost peelings quite early oin and shivered, must be autumn as it's warm enough to go in just a t shirt at lunchtimes.
He Who Knows and the lurcha are out walking and I'm going to have a sort out day today which will involve changing weight of blanket on the beds and washing the lighter ones, having a tidy up in the store room and going to the library (eventually, I've been trying since Monday!!!) as He Who Knows has had lots of things on this week and the lurcha isn't good at being left alone in the house these days. I'll pop into the greengrocer while I'm up in the village at the library and get some nice fruit as we're a bit low.
The garden, hothouses and allotment continue to produce quantities but everything is definately slowing down and the blackberries and courgettes are finishing as are the runner beans but the tomatoes are more than making up for it and ripening in big quantities. Looks like tomato chutney will be on the books next week. We've also decided that this week will see the apples picked from the big tree, they're falling and spoiling at the moment so better to pick them and process/store the ones that are useable.
I'm noticing more birds in the garden on the feeders these days, we moved the feeding station so that it's in close proximity to a mature buddelia bush and they are appreciating the extra cover and perching space this gives. Must be getting low on wild foods as they are here every day, I love seeing them and feed right through from now to baby bird time in the spring.
Have yourselves a great day all, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning :hello:
Baby blanket is finished, leg progress is good, garden is starting to look bareI need another compost bin, mine are full and I have a wheelbarrow full of stuff to go in.
I'll be in the greenhouses again this morning, they're almost done so it won't take long. I also need to tie up the tomato canes and find somewhere to store them. A few plants still have fruit so I've left them for now.
This week's shopping list is very short, just the way I like itI'll check the cupboards in case we're running low on anything but I'm pretty sure we're OK.

When I make custard cookies I used to put white chocolate chips in them too. Lovely!
Morning all!
I am stressed. My landlady is in the country and has told the tenants down stairs she is going to do some gardening this week, in my garden, without telling me. She always does this, just lets her self in, and it stresses me out so much. I'd love to move.
Anywhoo hopefully she'll be gone after this weekend.
Work today, and hoping to make a black bean chilli for dinner tonight. I went for a run this morning, so that's done. Just need to wash some clothes and clean the bathroom tonight. Can't believe it's nearly the weekend again!!
Have a lovely day all!0 -
