Carers allowance

I'm claiming PIP and currently receive the mobility rate £20 week. I believe that I should be entitled to the low rate care element of pip when it goes to appeal then the carers allowance COULD be paid to my mum.
My mum is currently my unpaid carer. What would she be entitled to? She is 59 lives alone, owns her home. No savings. She currently works 30 hours a week which is too much on top of looking after me too. Below it says that she could work lets say 16 hrs per week minimum wage and still get the same benefits of income support. I'm totally confused by all of this. Any advice please? Just want to know what the future holds and how much she would have to live off if she stopped work as my carer or reduced her hours as my carer.
Thanks.
Working and Caring?
If you are eligible to Income Support because you are caring for a person and fit the criteria above, you are not excluded from Income Support even if you have another job. There is an earnings limit on Carers Allowance of £102.00 per week and your earnings will count towards any entitlement to Income Support as this is a means tested benefit.
For example, if you care for someone during the day, and you work 20 hours a week in the evenings, because you are a carer none of your hours count, and you are not counted as being in remunerative work, and therefore the occupation does not count towards the 16-hour or 24-hour work limit.

Your mum can earn up to £101 per week after certain deductions whilst on carers allowance.
Carers allowance is aroun.d £61 a week. This is deducted from income support; but a carers premium of around £32 a week is added to income supportSealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Thanks indie kid. My brain doesn't always work properly so are you saying she could earn upto £100 per week working (reduce her current working hours) and receive carers allowance of around £60 per week. Would she be eligible for the £30 top up too giving her around £190 per week to live off? Possibly some reduction on her council tax too. Thanks and apologies if I don't fully understand everything with my brain fog. I just want to know that if my mum makes any changes to her workplace hours that she can survive on the incoming money. Thank you.0

no, she would not get the £30 ish as a top up.
she would only get that if claiming income support

If she's on a low income, she can apply for council tax reduction. She doesn't need to receive income based benefits to apply for this. Same with housing benefit if renting.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

Can my mum qualify for working tax credits from working 16hours and also being my carer for over 35 hours and receiving carers allowance? She would normally have to work a contract of 30 hours to qualify for wtc.
Is there anything that can reduce the carers allowance?

Receiving carers allowance won't be classed as working. Unless she's disabled, she has to work 30 hours per week.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

to be blunt, her maximum income will be £160ish a week plus housing benefit/council tax support.
if this isnt manageable you should consider contacting social services and asking for an adult assessment
