I would have to argue that i'm not selling the right to buy something at a higher price. The £1 is a payment that secures the date.

This guy buys the auction...... paid the initial £1 which secures the date...... He then calmly emails today to say 'oh I don't need you any more'. I went straight to feedback & left a frank & full neutral.

If you are not selling the right to buy something at a higher price outwith EBay (which you clearly are) and the £1 simply secures the date..... Given that the buyer paid in full, why did the buyer get a Neutral for something that is clearly an off EBay transaction?

On the subject of the wristbands, the listing is clear, they are clearly listed as not being Silicon. Some folk just don't/can't read. :)

On looking at the two listings :-

    (1) i have no idea what TYVEK is and there is always going to be an assumption among people that they are one of those little rubber wristbands. You are merely asking for negs as i don't think you are making it clear they are not. Why not show a picture of the clasp so that people can see exactly what it is?

    (2) That is fee circumvention full stop. Why are you only charging a pound to book a whole day? A pound doesn't buy a whole pile of commitment. Why not charge £50 or £100 or whatever and say something like 'this includes the following standard package features...' then allow them to add any refinements to that? People would then think twice about committing to purchase?

Maybe i should rethink selling PC's to read 'Brand New Dell PC for £1' then charge extra for ram, processor, motherboard, case, fan, power supply by getting them to tick a check list???

Yes I would neg you, you said in your opening post that the buyer of 5 of these questioned your morals, hiding behind not reading the description properly is one of the worst traits of an ebay seller

The description of this is clear, the only thing I don't like is overuse of coloured fonts that make it a little harder to read. But I think that the description is clear and if you are unsure it is upto you to ask BEFORE bidding. I imagine the buyer was making an assumption which we can all be guilty of...you can't blame the seller!!!

As for the second one its all a bit vague and I personally don't like it and as such would just move along...some good points from others on this one.

Pascali can have your EBay ID to add you to my list of buyers to block, if you leave negatives for that I would rather you didn't bid on anything of mine!!!

If you look at the guys feedback he has had 5 or 6 neutrals all complaining about what they perceive to be misleading information, surely the hassle from those would tend to lend weight to the assertion that the advert is flawed.

Re my being blocked by you, I always read descriptions fully, therefore would hopefully not buy anything remotely misleading, I would hope your items are well presented, if you want me to cast my eye over them please post an auction number.

I think I would have to echo a previous statement that if I received more than a couple of neutrals for the same reason I would assume I am doing something that buyers don't understand and try to rectify it.

Yes I accept that you believe your listing is clear and obvious, but some buyers obviously don't agree so maybe you need a rethink ?
