    Morning all.

Lots of people unable to sleep properly last night. I can sympathise and do hope you all manage to catch up tonight.

I put everything needed in the slow cooker last night to make a chicken chassuer for tonight's dinner and the kitchen smelled so good my lot wanted it for breakfast! I didn't let them though and rapped OH's knuckles when he tried :D:rotfl: I think everyone is looking forward to dinner tonight though :)

I have washing in the machine already but need to get the bread maker going as there isn't enough left to see us through tomorrow. I don't mind as it's cheaper now they have a pack lunch rather than what we were spending on school meals and canteen.

Other than that I need to do a bit of a tidy through to put things in their proper places and give the bathrooms a wipe through as well.

Have a lovely day all :)

Mornin' everybody :hello: - looking very overcast 'out there' this morning, but the forecast for the day is quite promising.

TTFTM - thanks for starting the thread off for the day. 'Get well soon' to your OH and hope you managed to get some proper sleep tonight
nmlc - Good Luck to your DS1 for work today. Could you manage to make a flask of coffee/tea/hot chocolate and have it at the side of your chair/sofa for during the day? Enjoy your 'first day of peace'.
IslandMaid - have a good day at work :).
Hester - Hope you manage to sort out what happened with the Bank.
carolbee - Enjoy your day out with OH :D.
tru - hey - great minds with the flask idea hi5.gif. Hope all goes well at the dentist :(.
dumpling - Hope all goes well with the CMHT Worker and Bus Pass. Don't know what I'd do without my 'Oldies Pass' - that was the best thing about turning 60 :j.
RR - have a good day in work :).
camelot - have you tried Ebay or Amazon for the sockets that you need? I needed some really unusual ones and got them on Ebay.
JackieO - enjoy your time at the U3A Coffee Morning.
jlhmd - Enjoy your chicken chasseur tonight. I did Oxtail Stew in the SC overnight last week and the aroma kept us awake all night . It's really not a good idea when you live in a flat .

Happy Birthday Wishes to anybody with one and Get Well Wishes to all in need.

    Yesterday -
    • Washing was all done and dried on the line :j.
    • Had quite a good couple of hours in the garden yesterday afternoon - managed to evict more cheeky brambles / bindweed / nettles / dandelions / unwanted clumps of grass and 'other Unidentifiable Things' that shouldn't be there ! Also found a few 'root systems' below the ground level - so those have been ripped out and dumped in the Garden Waste Bins as well.
    • Took a walk to our local Mr T for fresh milk / salad / veggies and took a stroll down their 'sale aisle'. Picked up a few items for Christmas Pressies for my DSis's and DBro. We do 'as many small, useful items as you can find - to a total value of £15' for each other - so it means clever searching and often 'thinking outside the box' ................. - I did well yesterday :j. I came up with another good one last night, so will have to go back again at some point - but, this time, I want one for myself as well ;).
    Plans for today include:
    • Get out into the garden for another couple of hours.
    • HM Soup for lunch today .
    • CS Committee Meeting this evening - my first one since being elected :).
    • Beans and Poached Eggs on Granary Toast for evening meal tonight.

Right then, it's now time for another coffee and toast then I'll get myself out into the garden before it gets too warm to work out there :D.

speak again later, if I can get back on the thread.

Take care all - luv Lilyplonk xxx
  • Good morning all,

Another gorgeous morning, so WM on, bed stripped and will be out shortly.

A NSD today, will spend the day taming the back garden, front looks lovely, but still some way to go with the back garden. Himself strimmed the lawns yesterday, I have emptied pots and general tried to tidy the bottom of the garden where we haven't been able to go because of next door's dogs. Fingers crossed, all seems quiet, although the female dog still growls at me when she knows I am in the garden. I don't know why because I have never met her face to face:)

Jackie so pleased you have a date for your op. By Christmas you will be looking very pert :)

Hugs and well wishes to all poorlies and to those struggling

    Have a good day

  • Good Morning everyone, bright sunny start to the day but very wet on the grass and cooler than for a while, feels very autumnal out there. He Who Knows and a very happy Docky have gone walkies and I'm waiting for a delivery as my lovely DD1 has apparently bought me a pair of snow boots and they are arriving in the next hour according to the tracker. She and I are off to Berlin for a few days before christmas to see the Weinachts Markts and it's always snowy underfoot and up to now I've work heavy walking boots which are not the most comfy thing to wear for days on end. These hopefully will be lighter and less likely to slip and tumble me!!!

Hoping to get He Who Knows to take me to Lidl today to buy in some basics as we haven't been since the beginning of the summer holidays and I'm getting short of baked beans, tomatoes etc. I like to keep in a good supply of the things I use very often in cooking, saves many visits to the very expensive village shops here!

Hope you all have a good and productive day, take care of yourselves, Lyn xxx.
  • Morning, (((((((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))))))) if you need one.

Another bright morning, but brrrrrrrrrrrr its cold, temperature must have really dropped during the night.

Market day so OH to the library and me to the market for the fruit and veg veg we need. We are still picking beans so not so bad on that front, possibly another picking later in the week. I have one courgette left on the plant then it will be out the pot and the compost spread on the new sq ft garden bed.

I will bring the car home OH will get the bus.

Frtiatta and salad for supper tonight, will take out some plums from the freezer and make a crumble I think.

Can't link as am on a tablet(don't have laptop/desk top anymore).its WWW.theproject333.com. It's basically 33 items of clothing to last 3 months(per season) you cut out stuff you don't wear/won't fit/don't like. I have found 33 unworkable this side of the pond as if I had 5 shirts for work they wouldn't be washed in time so I am at about 40 items. But it is a good way of clearing wardrobe clutter. The bemorewithless.com is a sister website that is quite good also. Couldn't believe I cleared 3 bags of summer clothes that I haven't worn. Looking forward to clearing excess winter stuff

Sorry didn't know by typing website in it provides the link!

    Morning all,

beautiful day here. Ive just got back from my local hospital. My GP sent me a letter yesterday asking me to have a blood test. Just the usual, renal, cholesterol and sugar. Thought it best to get it out the way before I order my next repeat prescription.

Took the 'Girls' for an early morning walk... the usual from the one dog... one dump every few yards. I wish she'd save it for when she's at home.

The new babies in the baby house have had a good first night.
Nomthandozo and Sigoxo are they are adorable!

Not much planned for this afternoon. I'll see how it goes.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.
