But that's an easy fix, about £20 for an anti pick/drill/bump multi lever euro cylinder,
But they still just kick the crappy foam panels in. But as someone mentioned above there are doors with metal reinforcement in the decor panels which at least slows them down a bit.;)I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

We have also used Value Doors for a set of French doors. They sent the door fitter round to measure the door frame which ensured the correct size came and then he arrived to fit them a week later. No complaints at all, excellent service and a set price. Would definitely recommend.:)0

Only just come back to this sorry.
All these posts and not really any/many with prices.
I seem to be getting prices in the region of £1500-2000 for the 2 doors fitted. 1 being composite the other being UPVC. I am assuming that this is about right?
With regards to the lock bit, its good to see there are doors which need tanks to get through but why... I probably will at some point get robbed, its part of life. I dont live in the nicest area in the world but I dont live in a place I need a door that can prevent a tank getting through.
What sort of lock do I need to prevent it being easy to the average thief? I will ensure it has one in as I cba swapping locks.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. I went for this recently as we had the mis fortune to have a door door itself as we had left the keys in the inside, somehow when the door slammed shut the key turned.
This has all the anti theft features plus you don't need a key to lock from the inside and most importantly in my view you can't lock the door not be able to get out if fire breaks out.

I'm going to butt in again and say unless you uprate all your windows and doors etc, the scum will simply go for the weak point, and they will find it.
If you are secluded it's only a 5 min job to get on the roof, take a dozen tiles off and drop through the plasterboard ceiling.
It's pretty frightening what you would have to do to make your home secure, although a large dog is a good startI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Exactly, I've worked at companies where burglars have come in through the roof on numerous occasions. Bypassing all the shutters and dead bolted doors and windows. :rotfl:0 -

Christ have we got to start screwing our roof tiles down with anti tamper screws now..where will it all end:D0 -
No, all you have to do is enough to make them go next door:rotfl::rotfl:
Ok, mildly funny but it's actually dead serious, they want an easy option.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

I recently fitted avocet abs mk3 euro cylinders to a property, very secure locks indeed. As a locksmith, these would cause me a lot of grief to break in. Worth the money IMHO. With regards to panels in upvc doors, get reinforced ones, burglars just kick them in. Get the best you can afford and make it as difficult for them as possible. They want to get in and out quickly."Nil Sine Labore" - Nothing Without Labour0
