O2 Making money for nothing
Hello Everyone,
Just wanted to let everyone know about a problem i had today. My new mobile was ordered on the 13th July 2007 from o2 online, it arrived fine and i am very happy with the contract and everything about the phone itself. I received an email about my online bill being ready to view, on the bill was a charge of 99p dated the 16th July 2007 bit odd when i only received the phone on the 17th. I questioned this with O2 customer services, the response was that this was standard practice to charge as soon as the mobile has been picked up by courier. To cut a long story short, O2 are making a lot of money by doing this and if you all let them know you are not stisfied it will be credited "as a good will gesture back to your account". Mine has gone back in the account, so you might all want to check your bills in future.
All the best
Gary
ps i'm sure it wont only be o2 doing this.

So what exactly is this charge, a shipping charge? And if so wouldn't they have to state this in the T&C's?Know me for who I am, not for who I say I am.0

This is a charge for the line rental on the contract for when you have no way of using the phone as it had not been received, big con in other words. apparently they charge you for your contract as soon as the phone leaves them. as i said to them it is only 99p but the big picture is that they do this to everyone so they must be making a fortune for nothing.
