  • Morning all,

Beautiful sunny day here in Medway. Towels on the line, been foraging for dropped apples and pears with my friend and had a nice walk.

It's DS2's first proper day at College today and I have my fingers crossed it will go ok and he will enjoy it.

Molly - Happy Birthday to your DH and enjoy the Spa :)

Judi - I think we are married to the same man! Although reading other posts I think he is married to a few of us!! :rotfl:
Beautiful babies in the baby house :)

    Have a good Monday all.

    Morning all,

Not a very OS weekend sadly. Friends for tea on Friday (well that was OS anyway, slow cooker bolognese with mounds of leftovers now in the freezer). Saturday the car was in for a service so the BF and I visited town, got myself a pair of jeans (£5 off in debenhams so only £15) as I only have one pair that fit and a new top for £5.99. I also picked up some chocs from thorntons for mums Christmas. When I picked up the car got hit with bad news that there are problems, we're looking at £600/700 to fix it all. Somehow managed not to cry. It's booked in for the end of the month as I'm driving to family in England early next month. Had an evening on the sofa with a chinese and c0cktails to cheer me up. Yesterday I dropped the BF at work, did some housework then visited a family friend and met her 7wk old DD. Bought her a wee pressie from Asda to keep it reasonable but also they do lovely wee one clothes. Won't be sharing it with the BF but it made me feel affa broody, would love to have the chance to be a mum but I don't know that I can see it happening for me.

Today I'm going to the gym after work then back into town to meet a friend for tea, we've not seen each other in some time so looking forward to a blether. She also knows the BF from before I do so can see if there's any gossip to be had haha

Will also need to work out money to accomodate the car work, I'm also needing to get new doors on the house, the back door is urgent as there seems to be a leak when the weather is poor (previous owner had a cat flap and door is very poor quality). There is also some work needed in the garden before the poor weather hits. Shed is nearly falling to bits (lack of maintenance from the previous owner, you see the pattern) and really needs replaced this year. The area around/under it could do with being paved to make access easier. A friend is clearing out some slabs which I'm going to take, they don't match the current paving but it's mostly going to be under the shed so I'm not worried. It's also just a short term fix until I do some proper work to the garden which will now be next summer.
It can never just be one expense at a time!?!?!

Nevermind, things could be a lot worse and I'm keeping that in mind. I have a job, money coming in and I don't have to choose between eating and getting this done (well at the minute!).

Hope you're all having a good day, hugs to those who need or want them.
Happy birthday to MrMolly, hope you both have a fab day at the spa!

Happy birthday to Mr Molly, hope that its been a good one.

Hope that all the ailing husbands are recovering well......according to himself my OH has been dying for 20 years, I take no notice any more!

Dinner today has been leftovers from yesterdays with fresh veg and potatoes, no pudding as we are trying to be good.

Life is not very interesting in Mean Mansions these days, so will wish you all apleasant evening, stay safe and well

Thank you for all your birthday wishes - I have passed them on to OH and he very much appreciates them x

We had a lovely day but came home to squabbling kids. DD feeling very low as she is looking for a part-time job in Coventry when she goes back to uni. She is worried about money and needed a mummy cuddle x

Hope you all have a lovely evening x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
  • Evening all.

I am the worlds most unsympathetic person when my husband is ill. He's never been too ill tbh but my god, if he gets a cold it's like the end of the world. I've been hospitalised with pneumonia, a cold is nothing!

I began sorting ds1s room today. My goodness, considering we moved a year ago, I got rid of a heck of a lot. And I'm only about a third of the way through. Oh and his bedroom is tiny!

Not been able to get on every day lately RL keeps getting in the way.

Glorious here today, all the beds have been stripped and everything has dried on the line. animated-smileys-housekeeping-115.gif

I then had to go to town and get DS a new quilt, because I had a blue fit when I saw the state of it  Luckily Wilko have a sale on and i got a good 13.5 tog one for £10 down from £19 :D:D

I now have stickers on the keyboard that are bright yellow with larger letters so it is much easier to see the keys :D

JackieO :j great news on the boob front :D

Marie my life isn't that thrilling either but it is nice to keep in touch x

Got a phone call from the Hossy at 7pm tonight checking that I will be going ahead with the biopsy next week, I am pretty certain it is only a cyst but better safe than sorry.

Hope it stays nice for tomorrow because DH really needs to get the grass cut animated-smileys-garden-015.gif
