Morning everybody :hello: - been mia for a couple of days due to hiccuping 'puter :(.

Hope you're all fit and well with HSarmhugs_9780.gif for those 'under the weather' or recovering. Special good wishes for those with sick pets cat_smiley.gif

birthday.gif to all celebrating birthdays today.

Good to see you again, Molly - and thanks for starting the thread today :).

Isn't it lovely to have all children and dgk's back at school - giving us all our 'regular routines' back again :j.

    Plans for today include:

After a busy weekend of childminding, I need to get out into the garden before the weather turns unpleasant again. Also want to try to get some bulbs planted now. I realised that I put them in the wrong places last year, so dug them up a few months ago - see if I can get it right this time .

Tonight's evening meal will be Roast Chicken Thighs, Actifry Chips and Salad. That'll clear out the last of the chicken thighs that have been sitting in the freezer for quite a while.

Hope everybody has a good day with lots of OS-ing.

I'll get back into the site later for a full catch-up later - must go and have a shower for now.

speak again - luv Lilyplonk xx

    Morning everyone
A week today we will be going on our mid week break. Looking forward to somewhere different than our home.

Today, I am baking a birthday cake for MIL. Pink icing and candles.
    Celebrating with her tomorrow.

Today, back to the choirs. Washing, dishes, cleaning and tidying.
    Gardening and being outside.

    Have a thrifty day...

    Good morning all :)

Very disturbed night last night as Laddo has night terrors and he just couldn't settle last night but it was difficult then getting him up this morning. They're all out the door now so peace has resumed at last.

I will be going shopping today and switching to a Monday from now on as that will be easier and give me more time as kids are at after school clubs on Mondays.

The bathrooms need a good clean and the vacuum needs to run over the floors (I will be glad once all the carpets have been taken up!)

Hope everyone has a great day. Happy birthday to Mr Molly. Hope you both enjoy the spa :)

    Morning all,

I'm still in recovery mode from the weekend. Ive lost count the amount of towels ive washed and dried. Two teenagers taking two showers a day amounted to a backlog of towels to be washed.

I'd forgotten how high pitched a girls shriek can be, coupled with my music to drown the pair out when they were in 'Youngests' bedroom has given me a headache that I am finding hard to shift.

Hubby is ill, well he's been ill for weeks. If its not his knee its his ankle and last night he felt sick.... my patience is wearing a bit thin cause theres always something new to complain about. Then theres the immigrants.... and wanting to move.... and his job blah blah blah!

    Thank goodness its Monday!

Just a few bits and pieces in the house to do today. By this afternoon i'll be twiddling my thumbs no doubt.

    Onwards and forwards,

    have a great day all.

Morning all...............have a ((((((((((((((hug)))))))))))))) if you need one.

A bright morning so sheets in the washer, towels next, hope it all dries, yesterdays two loads did. There is that autumnal nip in the air just now.

Bedroom and bathroom weekly clean this morning, OH lurves the Dyson, so he can do the carpets.

Toad in the hole for supper, just put the sausages out to thaw. No spuds just veg and gravy with it.

Need to do some baking of some sort, might make a lemon drizzle cake, see how the mood takes me later.

Judi - I sympathise, MY OH is the same, he had rheumatic fever as a child and was in bed for 2 years, had to learn to walk again, Mother wrapped him in cotton wool and turned him into a raging hypercondriac, there is always something wrong with him, drives me potty too. I know he has some issues which we have to cope with. Last week it was his ears......he would not have it that it was wax, so sent him to the Dr....guess what....yes wax.......he now has to have olive oil drops in his ear twice a day. Our medicine cabinet has more drugs in than a chemist shop!! The other week I made him clear out everything that was out of date, had quite a spirited talk about stuff he wanted to keep 'just in case'. Waited till he had gone into the garden, put the whole lot in a bag and took them to the chemist to destroy. He hasn't missed them yet.

Thankyou Deleted_User at least its not just me that goes through it. I'm sure hubby does it for a bit of attention.

Last night I was on my pc whilst he was watching some stuff on telly. Laughing his head off he was. I walk down to make myself a drink, go in to him to ask if he wanted one and the laughter had gone and was replaced with that 'poor old me' look and whispered words cause he was in pain.

I just thought to myself... ignore it!

Maybe I'm just unsympathetic but when I'm ill I just want my bed and to be left alone.

  • molly hope you and OH have a fab day at the spa

Well good morning all, and a beautiful day it is here in north Kent, sun is shining and wall to wall blue sky :):) one of the lovely end-of-summer days that we sometimes get.

I am feeling full of beans as the postman delivered my hospital letter and I get my reconstructed new boob on the 28th of this month :):):),so op. no two is on the way. Then once that's healed up I get the third op. which will reduce and realign the other one so fingers crossed by Christmas I will have a matching pair .The first time since having my mastectomy in August 2007 I will be able to buy and use a proper bra. Sounds daft I know, but I can't wait It will make me feel that the breast cancer finally gone for good and I am back to my old self again :):):) hence the reason I am walking on air this morning :)

Plus our next years holiday is all booked uo for the IoW at West Cowes.Just have to send off the cheque today.

This morning I have book club then I want to put my car through the wash (I get a pensioners rate on a Monday )then pick up a book I ordered from the library after lunch and be at DDs for the boys coming home from school by 3. 30. No school run this morning as Mikey is Year six so he walks to school on his own now .Bit more freedom for me in the morning:):):)
No food shopping for me as I'm hanging onto my food purse this month and eating from the freezer
Have a good day whatever you are doing
    Cheers chums

    Morning all,

Happy Birthday to Mollys DH-hope you both have a fab day at the spa ,sounds lovely.
Just back from Lylas walk.I go out at 8.30 and walk round the playing field at the front for half an hour or so with my dog walking neighbour while we catch up,we say hello to all the mums and children walking up to the school, then I carry on to the fields for her 'proper' walk but still often bump into other people and dogwalkers.I can be out till nearly 10 sometimes but I will really miss the villagey atmosphere here when we do move.

DH & I are disagreeing on the layout for the kitchen for the renovation-he's left me with 8 copies of a scale drawing to see if I can come up with an alternative plan :rotfl:

Right need to get some washing out on the line, and get organised before DGS comes later.Might make some more muesli bars as there is only 1 left.Have a good day all x

  • Morning all.

All 3 children at school. Been to Aldi. One load of towels on the line. Another to go on and I still have more dirty towels. I reuse mine for a week as does dh. I've no idea what the older 2 children do. Suspect use once and bunch up on their floor.

I'm going to start sorting out ds1s bedroom today. He needs a new wardrobe and a desk. He has a small bedroom so we need to remove a bookcase. No idea where we will put the bookcase. He can donate some of his books to charity as he's grown out of them. Well those I don't keep for ds2.

Chicken curry for me and dh for tea. No idea for the kids.

Weather looks to be dry this week so I will do as much washing as possible.
Hester, I've another pattern for you. It's enveloped up, just not been to the post office yet.

    Love (((hugs))) and spoons x

    Hi everyone,

Happy birthday to Molly's DH, have a lovely spa day both of you.

Re hypochondriac husbands, my DH isn't one, but drives me mad because he won't go to the doctor. I spent weeks telling him to go to the doctor because I thought he had a rodent ulcer, in the end I set DD on him - she looked at hi with her puppy dog eyes and told him she was worried - he booked an appointment the next day. The latest is a problem with the feeling in his feet. He did go to the dr who did blood tests and told him his circulation was fine but he didn't follow up and is still having problems, so I think it must be nerve related. Anyway DD was up this weekend so he has now promised to go back.

We had a lovely weekend, very quiet. Dinner on Saturday was very OS because DD had to review a recipe from a new cookery book and was able to buy the ingredients on expenses - we had Keralan spiced prawn linguine. It was lovely, I was afraid it would be too hot for me but it wasn't and it went well with the pasta.

Last night we had the extortionate Gloucester old spot pork leg I'd bought. It was lovely and I managed some successful crackling for a change but I don't think the flavour was 3 times as good as the supermarket pork which was the amount I paid so I won't get it again.

DS and GF also came for dinner but didn't stay long because she was working and had to carry on. The poor girl looks exhausted, she has been working such long hours on this case. DS on the other hand was much happier because after 9 months of hell his job has become much easier. They have decided that they can't try to do everything on the house themselves so they are trying to save to pay people now.

Dinner tonight will be a reprise of last night, roast pork, mash and veg. I want to start quilting the baby quilt I finished as well.

    Have a good day.
