Looking for the cheapest unlocked PAYG mobile

Going away for 3 weeks where I just need a mobile phone to make calls and nothing else. I'll be using a local SIM not anything from UK

It has to be unlocked. Nice simple Nokia with loads of battery life would be lovely.

Any ideas? Thanks

carphone warehouse - all their cheap handsets are unlocked (you usually have to buy airtime top-up with it but I use that abroad etc until it runs out).

Argos is usually the same kind of deal too.

A zillion mature Nokia's on eBay, if you want a more 'classic' handset. Usually starting at a fiver or less.

Not all UK handsets (especially cheap ones) work everywhere in the world. In some places you need a tri-band one.
