How much water do YOU use?

Hi
We're a retired couple living in a 1930s bungalow in the driest (i.e. lowest rainfall) part of the UK.
At the end of 2004 the water bill read as follows:
Standing Charge 015mm @£20.50 per year
Domestic consumption charge 40 M3 @73.64p
D/D discount @ -£2.50 per year.
We're paying £11.92 per month - well, that was last year! From June to next May we'll be paying £4.39 a month.
We each have a shower every morning (no baths), washing machine twice a week, or at most, 3 times.
I had the water meter installed after I was widowed, early 1990s. Council tax 'C' band, wouldn't like to think what we'd be paying now if we didn't have the meter!
