Santander Loan

Hi,
This is just more of a feeler request at the moment..
I had a loan with santander (joint) around 5 - 6 years ago. It was 36 x 540 in re-payments.
At this moment i can't find any more info on it, although i am sure this is somewhere.
I know we had insurance. What i don't know is what the monthly amount for the insurance would have been.
Shot in the dark I know, but any ideas?.

This information is not required in order to make a complaint. All you need are the account number of the loan and valid mis-selling reasons. Only your own agreement, statements or Santander can tell you how much PPI you paid monthly.

I'm in pretty much the same position as you, OP. Satander (sp. intentional!) have been by far the worst I've had to deal with (I've had successful claims with all other providers I have contacted).
Just write with the approximate details of the date period of the loan and your address at the time (plus the form in MSE's guide to reclaiming) and send it to PPI Complaints Team, Santander, PO Box 6197, Milton Keynes, MK10 1UY (Tel. 0845 600 6014).
Be prepared for woeful ineptitude, however. My case was prioritised by the Financial Ombudsman and she found in my favour. Santander appealed, so the Ombudsman reviewed my case and found in my favour once again, also chastising them for their evasive lack of adherence to the Ombudsman's set timetable.
Santander could not even get my address right in their (single) letter to me since I first wrote at the end of July 2013. According to the FO, the bank were supposed to have paid out in full on my claim no later than 3 September. Needless to say, I'm still waiting...
But keep going with it if you have a genuine claim Orville. They are an absolute shower and shouldn't be allowed to get away with it.
