When you say... 'Bad Credit' such as what? details would be nice...
a Person who owes 800 on a credit card is bad... but someone who owes 8000 is another matter.. lol
so what exactly type of 'Bad Credit' you have?• HSBC (Main A/C)
• Halifax Back up A/C
• Lloyds (Spending) A/C
• RBS Back up A/C
• Barclays Old A/C
• Nationwide Old A/C0 -
You can go overdrawn with debit cards. They're issued subject to status.0

Why not apply for a basic bank account elsewhere, IIRC all except Santander issue debit cards on these accounts.0

Hi I applied online and all it said was. Due to the information you have supplied we are unable to proceed any further. would It help if I went into nationwide0 -
I very much doubt whether anyone in a Nationwide branch will have the power to override a decline decision. Your best bet is to get your bad credit issue resolved then try again, either at Nationwide or elsewhere.0

If your credit rating is bad and you already have an account with Nationwide they are perfectly within their rights to refuse a second account because it will cost them to run with no gain for them.0

You are wrong there. You can spend more than you have, and you can get overdrawn.
There may be other solutions to your requirement than a 2nd account. Why do you want a 2nd account?0
