Have you been asked to bring along any documents?
This could be something or nothing.
Some things they may be looking into:
someone else living with you
working and not declaring it
savings/capital that you are not declaring
aunt has gone into care home/not receiving relevant benefit for you to claim
Anything recently changed in your circumstances?
Nothing to worry about if you are doing everything 'by the book'.
Could be a nosy neighbour reporting you/your son.0 -
We have been asked to bring id with us,our circumstance has not changed at all and only thing that has changed is my son was sanctioned for not attending work focus interview and is appealing against it,I ain't worried if it's someone being nasty as we ain't doing nothing wrong and no fraud being carried out with regards to my family0

i had a customer compliance interview a fe months after i applied for ESA.
the man i saw apologised for the porrly worded and worrying letter.
all he wanted to do was check that all my details were still the same

My son has had esa for 2 years now so am guessing it's not anything to do with his esa,for both of us to be called in on same day but different times it must be something they are treating serious0

been there done that, it really is a case of if you have done nothing wrong then you shouldnt worry about it0

Could it be a query about your carer's allowance for your ant.
It is amazing how much information the DWP receives across all the various benefits.
Did you put anything on the form about having to care for your son during the day/night therefore making it difficult to care for your aunt during the day?
Grasping at straws really. As I said if everything is tickety boo then don't worry.0 -
I care for both my son and aunt but have always said I care for both,I hope they can say what interview is about when I phone on Monday to ask for home visit for my son as he doesn't leave house0

The dwp didn't have any Info when they called me in other than somebody used the annonymous hotline to report me for benefit fraud. The woman interviewing me was as nice as pie and simply read out the accusation as it was made on the hotline. Despite this she had no proof of my disability available to her other than that which I took with me and I had to fill her in as to what was wrong with me, I laughed and said there is no way you could have any proof that I was committing fraud as I haven't . She smiled and agreed and informed me that they get about 1000 fraud accusations a month 99% of which are just malicious and usually the result of a spurned ex-partner, I signed a statement to confirm what I had said and left the office and her parting words were "well if you see anybody sitting outside your house in black cars anymore watching you it won't be us " to which I replied " Ermmmm..... It was a silver mondeo with the tall bald guy from harrow DWP who has appeared on the saints and sinners show with domonic littlewood who was plotted up opposite my house " and informed her that a newspaper, 2 liter bottle of coke and jumbo sized packet of Doritos were a bIt of a giveaway that somebody was there for a while and up to no good :-)0

Do you claim housing benefit?
If you and your son have been called in it's unlikely to be about the carer's allowance for your aunt0 -
If that's what the interview is about then am happy to say we don't have anything to worry about as we have done nothing wrong0
