Who's to say the van driver undertook? Could have been a two lane road in which the OP was hogging the inside lane wheras the van driver was correct as to pulling into the outside lane until he needed the outside lane.
It wasn't a female driver. I'm pretty sure I stated it was a male driver in my initial post, referring to him as a he? And yes. He was trying to undertake me, but of course, I'm the one in the wrong lane! :T0 -
Lol, what? He started using his horn the second I slowed down, why do you think he did that? Did he not see the Vauxhall Vectra in front of me had stopped? This is NOT normal or acceptable behaviour.
And yes, the car in front of me had stopped because they thought they had a red light. I could understand a small beep beep to alert the driver (or me?) that the light wasn't for them, but it wasn't. It was a 10 second beep, and continuous beeps while we were moving.
He was an aggressive and inconsiderate driver, and I don't think people that can't control their tempers should be on the road if they are going to behave in that manner.
Why would you assume that I am "worst on the road"? For saying I am an experienced driver? I am. I'm not someone who just passed their test last month and may be nervous in front of other cars.
I did nothing wrong in this situation, and I'd appreciate it if you kept your assumptions to yourself.
Dosent matter whether you passed your test 1 month ago or 10 years ago. I see people on the road that have been driving 30/40 years that would class themselves as experienced but are terrible drivers.
Needless to say, we only have your side of the story here and as the saying goes "There are two sides to every story".
When you started slowing down, maybe he was using his horn to alert the driver unnecessarily stopped at the green light?0 -
I see bad aggressive driving everyday, if I "reported" them all I wouldnt have time to do anything else.
Of course it is much easier to report when there is a company logo, would the OP report if it was a plain white van (or plain vehicle)0 -
sounds like your driver was piddling about in the RHL, could he have not moved over?0

I see this posted on here quite often, however isn't this true of all posts? Are we to assume all posters are liars unless the other party confirms otherwise?
I don't see any reason why the OP would be lying and the situation doesn't seem unbelievable.0 -

Yes it's getting incredibly tiresome. It's always the same people.0 -
Yes it's getting incredibly tiresome. It's always the same people.
It's a pretty standard technique for certain people* when they are losing the argument.
They know they cannot make their case with the information given so they try and put up a smokescreen to cover their failure by hypothesising that the initial scenario may never have happened as described.
This is, of course, largely irrelevant as we are necessarily giving out opinions on the situation as presented. This is a forum, not a court of law.
* It's worth noting that it's generally the same type of person who jumps into any complaint thread to point out the blindingly obvious that a business can do something that it is legal for it to do. Yes we know perfectly well that any business can (for example) refuse to do business with anyone it chooses (unless the decision is made on the grounds of certain protected attributes of the potential customer), but that does not mean that they have behave well. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
OP you did the right thing. If a company is getting regular reports of an "idiot" driver then they're in a position to do something about it.
I'd also like to say there are some absolute donuts on this thread, hint being the ones that have to have the last word.Pants0 -

The irony in your post is amusing, however is there any need to be offensive?
No where in this thread have I been agressive/defensive or arsey as the OP put it.
I thought the point of a forum was to have a discussion. Just because you dont agree with someone elses opinion, dosent mean you have to get offensive.0
