Fees can depend on where you live.

In glasgow our local estate agent all charge fees 1%, but I talked them down to 0.8%, however decided on an online agent.

Try Tepilo or another online estate agent. Depending where you are and how much your house is worth it will save you thousands. Sure in a buyers market it might be worth an estate agent trying to sell it for you but in a sellers market most houses sell themselves.

Mmmmmm.... Where we are (Solihull) it seems to be favouring the seller.

    Depends on where you are.

Interest rates are at all-time lows and the only way is up; they are forecast to rise around 1% a year over the next 5 years.

I would expect house prices to drop as the cost of borrowing increases.

of course I meant rise not drop! someone who works in a bank in London told me that within 2 to 4 months they'll have to go up as being held down too long.

So think it's time to sell now whilst prices are OK

Fantastic communication throughout. Some people are sceptical about onsite estate agents but these guy so far have been excellent.

Only £399 all in. Saved me paying £1600 odd.

Added on rightmove, zoopla etc within 5 days, sold within another 2.
  • Looked at an online agent - glad I didn't use them would have cost me 10k more!!

We used 1% or less as they gave a fixed price! didn't realise we were only going to get 1% of the service though or we would happily have paid a bit more to a different agent
