I would expect the debt to be sold, 6 months no payment so will of been defaultedDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

OP has admitted there were no payments to the account between March and August, so Barclaycard closed the account. Then out of the blue, payment for the full balance arrived and Barclaycard must have thought Christmas had come early this year.
@ OP: The Credit Agencies will mark your account as "closed and settled", which is not negative at all.0 -

Actually I think they are built on distrust... hence the need for law, binding contracts, signatures, PINs, CRAs, court processes etc. The OP just represents a bad risk... But I know what you're getting at and I agree.0
