Thanks all for your great feedback! Always interesting to hear how other people keep a tab of finances!
I have also been using a good ole spreadsheet, but want to try an app for a change. Money for Mac seem to be best as it supports multi-currency! Pity about YNAB lacking that basic support!!

    Hi,
I will provide you easy and very simple tips which will help widely. Look for a financial adviser who is a certified financial planner (CFP). They're licensed and regulated, plus take mandatory classes on different aspects of financial planning. I think only they will help you so perfectly. Thanks

Sounds like a sledgehammer to crack a nut with. Also sounds very non-UK so not likely to be relevant to the OP.

Fantastic software, can manage multiple currencies, assets and whole lot more, I use to be an MS money fan, but gradually converted to money for iPad. It's available free at the apple store.

Your right on the first point but wrong on the second.

Certified Financial Planner is the internationally recognised qualification for financial planners, equivalent to Chartered status in the UK. I have both (based in Manchester) and, whilst Chartered status is a better marketing tool, becoming a Certified Financial Planner is much harder and more worthwhile to clients.

I know you were. Just letting you know that Certified Financial Planner is also a UK certification.
