Hi there - does anyone uses a Personal Finance Software like Quicken or the likes and have any recommendation for Mac OS?
Ideally I am looking at multi-currency capability.
If you don't use one... how do you keep track of your personal finances?
Thank you all!

I run Windows so don't have any breadth of knowledge of software for MacOS.
I was a long time user of Quicken and switched a couple of years back when I needed to upgrade and Quicken is no longer supported. I use BankGenie. This is written for Windows but the website does say "Works with a MAC running Parallels"
You can find information about Bank genie at http://www.ideasgenie.co.uk/bankgenie/
It works very well for tracking my various current accounts, savings accounts and credit cards. It doesn't currently support stocks and shares but a future upgrade is in discussion.
I have no connection to the software other than as a satisfied user.0 -
I use Moneydance because it seems to be the only one that can handle multi-currency and UK shares and funds correctly (more or less).
I use it on Windows but it is multi-platform.0 -
I use OpenOffice's spreadsheetIANAL etc.0

..unless your accounts are extremely complex it excel all the way for me..simple and you can adapt it to suit your needs..(although you do need to understand the basics of spreadsheets, but doing your accounts is a great way to learn and there are some really good help forums out there..).."It's everybody's fault but mine...."0

I have a spreadsheet like Stubod - I have multiple tabs that lead into the front page that gives me an overview and shows variances compared to actuals (yes I am an accountant). Its flexible and suits my needs...My Goal: From 1st of Jan 2015 to 31st of December 2015 is to save 30000.
48.78% towards 2015 target.
105.3% towards 2014 target. :j0 -
I'm still using an ancient copy of Microsoft Money as I haven't seen anything else which does a better job.0

I am also a committed user of MS Money, as to date I haven't come across anything that comes even close to it in terms of functionality. Plus, full software support for migrating my existing records would be mandatory, and everything I investigated so far completely lacks in that area.
Though having had a quick browse of the Bankgenie website, I might have a closer look at that package.0 -
Quicken 2015 is available for Mac. It's a real performance getting hold of it as you need a US credit card to buy in their site. Maybe try Amazon.com (think you need to buy yourself a $ gift voucher first). Or, as Quicken abandoned the UK in 2004, you might not feel so bad about searching the web for a free copy. If you know anyone in the US, or visiting, maybe they could pick up a copy.
I'm on the 2014 version. There's an initial rigmarole in exporting and importing the data but it's so worth it. Doesn't download UK share prices (I just use a cvs file weekly) but is multicurrency.
There's also a free IPad app which can sync with a checking account if it's denominated in $ (I use multicurrency as 1$ = 1£). It's a bit rubbish just now but can only get better.
I much prefer it to MS Money.0 -

Money for iMac, iPad,iPhone,
Fantastic software, can manage multiple currencies, assets and whole lot more, I use to be an MS money fan, but gradually converted to money for iPad. It's available free at the apple store.0 -
I am looking at YNAB, Moneydance and Accountz (UK based) - you can download all as trial versions. Moneydance have a development team in Scotland.
All 3 are either Which Best Buys or well reviewed fwiw.
iBank seems well reviewed for Mac.0
