Going by this and some of your other replies, I'm guessing you are someway connected/working for the parking ticket appeals service or whatever it is called?

Some figures for you to chew on here

4 Weeks up to the 15/10/2014, based on the some average payment amounts PTAS Ltd has cost Parking Eye 88K in lost revenue

Fair enough, good luck to you.

I just think when you are in threads that discuss the service, you should be a bit more open about your interest.

But you did suggest using a company for a service address very recently and as I have seen you suggest the use of service addresses a lot recently, I assume you have connections with this too.

For the record, I have no problem with what you and your company do, as long as people know they can do it for free themselves with some time and effort and that you are up front about your interests in the company.

Yes the service is the brain wave of PATAS and it is the only viable solution.

The reason it is suggested a lot is because we need to get accross the fact that nothing else is actually certain to work.

The more and more this becomes the norm for these tickets the better rather then leading people down false paths

Many people will be uneasy about obtaining a CCJ regardless of the risk on it coming back to them for reasons such as jobs or going for mortgages etc.

In an earlier post you said you did not advertise you services, however here you have done it in a very underhand way:
    Right thats good

This is an IPC company and you can use the services of a company who provide what's called a service address, basically taking the ticket off your hands for a very low fee. The parking company then dont get your address:)

    Why did you not say:

you can use the services of MY company who provide what's called a service address
    Right

NTC is part of an organisation called the IPC which do not have an open and honest appeals system. You do have to give an address but you dont have to give your own address if you dont want to

There is a company who will provide you with an address you can use which is known as a service address. This means you wont be hassled by the parking company, simply because they will reject your appeal

The charge for this I believe is around £12.00

And you think the fee is around £12? As it is your business, I am sure you know exactly the cost of this service, but you have done this to try and disguise your connections to the business.

Just be more open and honest about your interests in the company, so when you are recommending or suggesting their services people have the full picture. There are reasons why MSE require businesses to have official status, people are quick enough to complain when Perky comes on here using various aliases (I'm not comparing your business to his btw :rotfl:).

Interest declared - I work for PTAS and BMPA, and am in discussion with two other similar businesses. I do this work as an independent contractor.

I am aware of three different companies using this "accommodation address" idea, and Ricky only runs one of them. I am contracted to Ricky for some of the work I do, including using my address as an accommodation address.

Ricky doesn't advetrtise on here - he has no need to. If you bump into his ads on Google, great, if not, also great.

My advice, and his, on this forum is free. If you choose to use his services, or mine, or some other company, then there may be charges involved.

Those of us that do this recognize that a lot of our knowledge came from the forums, which is why we are still here doing it for free, when we could be making a tidy profit from it elsewhere.

    HTH, HAND.

At least you have your interest declared in your signature. EngimaPart1 in my opinion, was trying to hide his role in these companies, for the reasons I have explained in post 37.

Suppose, I am uncomfortable with people profiting from peoples mistakes, whichever side of the fence they are on. PTAS have conflict of interest, as although they are fighting these charges for people at cost, they don't really want the charges to stop, anymore than the PPC's do.
