M&S current account - switch incentive now increased - £125 gift card

            Hi,
I did hold Premium M&S Account which I closed in April 2013 after received £100 giftcard. At that time the requirement to switch account to obtain giftcard did not existing.
I have looked at the terms and conditions http://bank.marksandspencer.com/pdf/CPSwitchingTermsAndConditions.pdf
It says if you have more than one qualifying account we will only pay one incentive for first time you switch your account.
Based on this do you think I will qualify for another giftcard offer as this will be my 1st switch request?
 Thanks

Ah well, you win some, you lose some. Just been rejected for this offer. That's despite already having a credit card from M&S.
Guess I'll have to make do with Santander, TSB, Lloyds, Tesco, Halifax and Nationwide accounts. Also have to keep my Smile account in reserve as a donor for the next opportunity of a switching bonus. Are you for real? - Glass Half Empty??

I opened an account via the offer URL for £125 but the gift card I've been sent is only £100. Should I contact M&S or is the extra £25 not coming from them?0

Contact them as they should have a record of who applied via the link as you had to put in your name and DOB on the £125 page.0

Yes, contact them. Both myself and OH switched accounts via the MSE link, we were both confirmed as getting a £125 card.
Both cards duly arrived and I used some of one of them, the other was unused, but as they look the same I had no idea which was full and which used. They are numbered and you get a receipt saying the card number, amount used and amount remaining, but I had left this at home.
Yesterday in M&S I asked the cashier if she could check the balances so I could use up one first. She said that as she had already rung up my shopping, if she swiped a card it would automatically deduct the money (someone else later said this was incorrect) so I said just to go ahead as it really didn't matter.
Turned out the one she swiped was the unused one, BUT....it only had £100 on it.
Back home I rang them and they investigated and rang back today. Turned out OH had only been sent a £100 card.
They were most apologetic and have now arranged for £25 worth of points to be added to his M&S credit card so he will get an extra £25 voucher to spend.
So do ring them, and if any of you haven't used your cards, get the balance on them checked!!0

You can check the balances online on the M&S website; although you have to create an account.:grouphug: Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member Official MSE canny forumite and HUKD VIP badge member :grouphug:0 :grouphug:0
