because I guess scousemouse either found 0800 alternative numbers on that site or like me she has unlimited free anytime calls?

One or two 0800 numbers perhaps but not all four.

If you have an unlimited call package you most surely pay something for it monthly,so the calls cannot be free.Virgin M normally charge a wopping £9.95 a month for Peak and Evening Calls to 01/02 numbers to be inclusive nearly £120.00 a year.( The weekend part of the call package already being free as its included with £11 line rental).

See my reply above re your query. Yes, they have obviously costed in some calls on the Anytime package, but if you are an avid user of the phone, you gain because you pay the same fee if you're making 10 calls or 100 calls! But the package I have is excellent value and includes line rental, all TV channels and BB, I am very happy with it. And, yes there are a lot of 0800 numbers about and available in the 0870 site. It is an excellent site.

So they are not free,:D and if your not a heavy user your likely to pay more then necessary, and you pay when your away eg on holiday.

Like I said before, of course they are not free:mad: but overall, I gain because I do not have to worry about picking up the phone, and also, I know in advance what I have to pay out every month, and to me, paying just over £40 per month for line rental, phone calls, unlimited broadband, a HD set top box downstairs and a digital box upstairs. I reckon that's good value for money!

You call 0870 numbers for free!! Not so. I take it you visit saynoto0870.com before you make any calls? I have now compiled a list of utility numbers which were either 0845 or 0870 and all my calls to these numbers are free for me.
