I have recently signed up to the carphone warehouse deal, where i get free local and national calls. But more and more companies are using the 0845 number which i have to pay for.
I have heard that there is a web site that will convert the 0845 number into the local or national number.
Has anyone got any more info on this.

Dont be misled by their hype. The calls are not free you pay for them in the overall package.;)0 -
Not necessarily. I have the Anytime Calls package with Virgin and I pay a very low monthly package rate including BB, HDTV and Phone.0

How did you manage to call the alternative numbers at no charge then.0 -
If you have to phone 0845 numbers at peak rate BT will be the cheapest supplier at 6p connection and 2p a minute from the 1/8/2007. Where as 01/02 geographical calls will cost 6p connection and 3.25p a minute.
So if you dont subscribe to the likes of 18185/1899 or have inclusive 24/7 calls it will be cheaper to phone 0845 at peak rate from BT then to call a 01/02 geographical number.0 -

Obviously:rolleyes: but what I am saying is that I am paying just under £40 pm for BB, TV, amd Phone Line which incorparates calls, (of course it does) but I can use the phone on an unlimited basis at any time for 01 and 02 numbers and that could be quite a lot of money otherwise. Nothing is for nothing unless it's free!0 -
