Just bought a Nissan Leaf, no petrol and no car tax! Mind you, you can only go about 85 miles before you have to stop and plug it in, so there is a downside!

Especially as my run to work is about 90 miles return!

(I did look at a leaf as a way of doing my commute)

Just bought the OH a car that does 17MPG, I'd be delighted to have one that does 55MPG.

Then you've made a bad purchase if you wanted more. A 15yr old petrol focus for ex ample will nearly triple that.
  • Thanks for that.

I can't see where the band is written but there is a number 6 written by the post office stamp.

After the reg there is an 'R' and it was £156-75 in total.

Looking at the post office stamp its 29 Aug 14. Seems a dear tax fo 6 months

I'll just hand it in at the cop shop-if it's open mind!

That's right for that my Audi A3 02 reg is that price for six months tax.

That was (more or less) the point I was making to the poster I quoted.
