Not sure why you are calling someone a idiot when you posted "meanwhile in Gaza"that had no relevance to the conversation.0 -
When we bought our last house the vendor said they would fix the garage door before completion . It didn't get fixed and the solicitors advice was to just get it fixed ourselves. He advised us to weigh up the cost of fixing it against the cost of chasing for money by a solicitor.Smile though your bank is breaking:)0

On the plus side you get to buy yourself a nice shiney new dishwasher.
Some battles are worth fighting, but getting stressed over a dishwasher is not worth it.0 -
Ask your solicitor if that is a sufficient breach to refuse to complete until remedied and to charge the contractual daily penalties.
I'm thinking that even threatening that could bring a speedy resolution (a brand new appliance being worth probably only 1-2 days penalty).0 -
House buying is stressful enough without things like this. Just remember it is small change in relation to the costs of buying a house. It might not be worth the hassle of pursuing it
I hope you are able to get a new one and in a few months look back and not even worry about this and are able to enjoy your new home.
