The reason that the work has stopped on the M1 filling staion is a bit mundane. There are badger setts on the site, and these need to be relocated before any more work can be carried out.
Apparently a 'badger whisperer' or whatever you call someone who moves badgers has already been tasked.....

That story has yet to be confirmed as some people feel the information has came from a mole.

We really do send mixed messages to badgers dont we?

Sometimes we cull them, sometimes we're caring and try to rehome them...

Have to say that I do too. I also suspect that it costs around the same to rehome as it does to cull when it is a small number of animals such as this case. Not sure the same cost ratio could be applied to the wider TB exercise being carried out in England though.


Certainly does Applegreen no harm in proving their green credentials when running these sites either!
